Do you have any evidence that they don't study, don't apply for admissions? Only 3% of Muslim parents send their children to Madrassahs, & even in Madrassahs, there is more of a focus on literary Urdu than religion. Muslim parents are not averse to sending their children to regular schools. Providing schools for its citizens is the responsibility of the Indian state. Providing the basic facilities of life to its citizens is also the responsibility of the Indian state.
1) Compared to the Muslim majority areas, the areas inhabiting fewer Muslims had better roads, sewage and drainage and water supply facilities - the responsibility of the Indian state.
2) Access to government schools for Muslim children is limited. There is non-availability of schools within easy reach for girls at lower levels. - the responsibility of the Indian state
The Presidential Order of 1950 discriminates against the non-Dharmic minorities. The Presidential Order of 1950 deprives Dalits belonging to Christian, Parsi and Muslim communities from the constitutional facilities being availed by Scheduled Castes of Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist communities, a violation of Articles 14, 15, 16 and 25 of the Constitution that guarantee equality of opportunity, freedom of conscience and protect the citizens from discrimination by the State on grounds of religion, caste or creed.
Benefits of entitlements meant for the backward classes are yet to reach Muslim OBCs. The condition of Muslims in general is also lower than the Hindu-OBCs who have the benefit of reservations.
Despite getting statistical feedbacks on this thread you are just neglecting them, i mean what are you trying to prove here? are muslim in india lying on the roadside , begging for food and shelter in india or are they seeking an asylum in pakistan.? on that bases muslims are far batter off in india including my self too if we compare to pakistan. we have all the basic facilites for a living as every one does we don't need a speacical class for that, we own buisnesses which occupies a large part of market even at the national u can find some big names who own multilillion worth buisnesses

the above list is only at the national level if u come across the regional level the list would go countless as muslims in india own a large number of small scale industries and they are free to do buisness no what ever extent they want to. in my own family from the state of goa, most of the muslims here are employed in PSU and and private sector aswell and rest of them own mining and transport buisnesses as goa is a rich mining hub for iron ore and bauxite minerals. we are busy in whole day work and alhamdulliah earn our sufficent brand and absolutely no compalins with our living standards.
What about pk the condition of pakhtuns , balochis , and *** kashmirs is worst,
