Indian CAS tol visit BD and take salute during BMA passing out parade

It's even a bad joke. Do not do this.

Brother Falcon is it necessary for you to jump in and pass such remarks. In my opinion both sides were at fault (West Pakistani's & East Pakistani's) & people like you at both ends with no brains but loose emotional lapses assisted our enemies in dividing us. Try to act rationally and understand how Indians play pschycologically with Pakistani's & Bangladeshis. Brother now a days wars are not just fought physically but mentally also and only that party will prevail which has brains & guts (If Allah wishes). If I have hurt your feelings than am sorry but want us to act rationally and see the complete picture.

Thanks

Zabanya, any reason you are angry with India now a days?

I can't speak for zabanya, but I first came to this forum without any animosity towards India and Indians but after a few months reading how patronising and denigrating a lot of Indians are towards Bangladesh and bangladeshis you start to feel like that.

I came to this Bangaldesh sub forum with all the love and affection for Bangladesh since it is the land from where both sides of my family originated.

Notwithstanding, the bile generated here, my feelings for Bangaldesh does not change because of a few hotheads romping around as the 'sole voice' of Bangaldesh.

I found so much of anti India bile and without facts being given that I felt it rather unfortunate.

I won't say that India is a perfect neighbour, but then all the problems of Bangladesh is surely not that created by India, but you find innocuous incidents too are blamed on India. In fact, quite a few blame India rants are on very frivolous issues.

Take for example Shah Rukh Khan going to Bangladesh with some Russian girls and putting up a show was lambasted and given the colour that India was bent on ruining the morals of Bangladeshi pious Muslims.

Analyse that.

Shah Rukh Khan is indeed an Indian. But, don't forget that he is an individual and his bread and butter is entertainment, to include such dances.

Obviously, Mr Khan cannot go anywhere and start performing just because he likes to perform. He is invited by local sponsors.

Bangaldeshi sponsors would have invited him and surely the Bangaldeshi sponsors would not have organised the show if they did not realise that there would be a huge audience since not only they had to pay his astronomical fees but also make a killing in profits!

Now, it there is a huge audience in Bangladesh, who pay a King's ransom, to see Mr Khan and the Russian girls dancing, doesn't that prove that the Bangladeshi 'morals' are already 'ruined'?

Mr Khan is a Muslim and he is aware of what the Muslim morals should be. So, if he, as a Muslim, and the Bangladeshi audience find that it in no way affects the morals of Bangladesh, why must some Bangaldeshi posters conjure 'reasons' to go hammer and tongs to blame India for 'ruining' the 'morals' of Bangladesh?

if Bangladesh invites him and he performs, how is it that India is ruining the morals of Bangladesh? Mr Khan is an individual and the Govt of India cannot stop him from going anywhere he likes to perform.

So, as they say, it takes two hands to clap and there is no smoke without a fire.

Sure I have respect for those who died and fought like a man(wrong or right reason) but I have no respect for Dalals. I am a follower of hero like President Zia-ur-Rehman.

What AL's trying to do regarding Bakshaal are
being protested by everyone.
AL and the fight of common people in 71 are
two different things.

You can hate AL for all the right reasons and that is a valid
thing but don't post foul comments for the ones who died
fighting. There are many freedom fighters in BNP.
Zia himself being a charismatic one. I've seen you
post moronic comments against many of those.

My post as I said earlier has nothing to do with politics.
Except the fact as like any normal BD citizen I hate Jamatis
and some AL goons alike who played double roles
back then. BNP falls in middle and the only nationalist party
at present.

There are two kinds of loyals in BD, either Pro Indian
or Pro Pakistani. It's not a good idea to be anyone of 'em.
Historically None of those countries ever wished well for bd
unless there were some sorts of gains.

SOme bangladeshi members seem to me making undue fuss about Indian army chief taking salute. Its just a convention that both the nations and also all other nations follow, ie inviting foreign army chiefs as guests

Sad, that a mere salute appears a Normandy Invasion to the insecure and floundering!

If you think from an Indian point of view you will come to similar conclusion. The constant bickering about salute, fish stealing, and chicken neck+china etc.
That is why I asked specifically to him, he has been here for a while, seen things quite a bit.

Zabanya normally is a very balanced poster.

He is apparently having a bad hair day.

Since he is of Persian descent, here is something for him

I am not angry at all. In fact, it excites me.

In my previous posts, I didn't really express anything against such a visit. Although it is understandable why some people in the military would have reservations.

I was merely implying the danger Bangladesh can face should it go in the same path as Hasina and her AL buddies are taking these days.

Even with all the politics in the Bangladesh military, they are patient. One way or another, Hasina will get something in the end. The outcome could be anything, but I hope its a wise one. I like many Bangladeshis really can't help with her......insanity in the weird kind of way.

Maybe this song would cheer up.

From India with Love!

I don't watch those :P

You couldn't have.

It was filmed before you were born.

However, a great Kathak exponent Bela Bose is and the song is so soulful.

The song was for your blues.

Now, don't Roothe. (pout)

Yes, this too shall pass!

Let's see a smile on your face. Make our day.

As Patti Page on VOA used to say, when I was a schoolboy, - If you see someone without a smile, give him one of yours!

Take one from me

:)

Ignore whatever those BNP folks say. It was the usual point scoring. By the way, many of friends and neighbors who attended the event said it was terrible. SK is a lousy dancer.

I wonder why this thread is even gone 21 pages long!!! duh!

Because one Bengali is a philosopher,

Two Bengalis are a fight

Three and more is a riot!!

And then the issue is why does the Ganga meander?

Or for that matter the Padma?

Now, why no one knows where the ocean joins what water?
