I was lazing around around 11 pm on Saturday when I heard the unmistakable roar of a Jet engine over my building. Went to the terrace just in time to see a Delta winged jet flying overhead. (Looked a lot like Rafael but can't be sure. Could've been a Mirage).
There is a clear kilometers of space of military land between my building and HAL/Old Bangalore Airport. So military aircraft test flights happen to be in this area.
The Jet did a number of barrel rolls, then out of the blue began to accelerate. There was a clear trail indicating afterburners and a loud boom shook the vicinity. I ran down to get my camera.
When I returned,it was no where in sight. But now there was another jet (Hawk trainer jet??? could someone identify this jet.) in the air. Again did barrel rolls and flew upside down for a good 6-7 seconds. I managed to record it as it flew overhead.

In the distance exactly over HAL airbase I noticed a chopper being tested. It did a couple of almost 90 degree dives, pulled up sharply, turned 45degrees on a side for a few seconds. The video turned out very bad as it was really far off. Couldn't even make out which chopper it was. I did manage to catch on video a moment when it hovered then went reverse in a straight line (lost it a bit in the video here) then began moving upwards while in a reverse direction.

Oh ... U r very much surprised by seeing the helicopter going in reverse direction.

Yeah....never seen one going reverse before. Besides one moment it was moving forward and within a couple of seconds stopped and started reversing. Caught me by surprise.

That's interesting. To be honest I thought it looked a lot like a HAWK. The last test flight of Sitara had crashed in Tamil Nadu. If this is the Sitara then perhaps this is a rare video I've managed to capture :).

B1 is not that much small, it seems like a trainer to me, not a fighter atleast.

Not seems like, Its trainer only... I was working at Motorola Marthahalli (few hundred meter away from Airstrip), I use to see these machines daily... You can see Jaguar and MiG21 more often.

One fine day I saw Antonov 124, It was a huge plane, I think It was carrying Bangalore Metro train.. The trainer you saw here is not that common, you can see it once in month.. Dhruv is very common, you stand near airport, you can see dhruv 10 times in a day,....

I have seen the dhruv flying backward many times.. its common trick they (test pilots) use.. As per my knowledge Rafael is not in bangalore, He might have seen Jaguar or LCA (Even Mirage is not common in bangalore, in my 5 years in bangalore I have seen MKI once)
