Indian AF to look at unmanned aircrafts, directed energy weapons, drone swarms and smart loyal wingman systems

. .
Drone swarms and loyal wingman both need high tech and matured AI.

During the initial phase, loyal wingman and copter drones will be operated by a controller/s, then after AI algos development and maturity of AI system, the control can be shifted to onboard or outboard computers or both.

PAF may focus on development AI, loitering munitions and high altitude drones.

I think regarding directed energy weapons our KAALI project is either in very advanced stage or actually operational.... this project falls under BLACK PROJECT category hence Govt. and military very tight lipped on this....
i see you are getting a safroni boner while using buzzwords like 'Black Project' in BOLD. XD

Thats the thing indians try to run when they can even crawl properly and then they fall like "Muh e parne datha aan" 😆

PAF and PA will have their work cut out for themselves for this new age of conventional weapons competition.
I feel it was inevitable that India would eventually start developing defence tech at a crazy rate. They have been throwing a lot of money and a lot of manpower at it for decades. More importantly, they have built human resource and institutions (while we were poking fun at the LCA). We will be in some serious trouble in the coming decades because of our weak economy and the suffocating/cabal-like nature of our military research. It's almost like India is trying to pull a Strategic Defence Initiative on us (we're the USSR in this analogy).

You sure its actually operational? so india has surpassed most defense equipment giants, where only a few in the world have come just managed to bring it up in some form or the other. plz double check wat u r saying... putting it under BLACK PROJECT, is like putting in a pit where all dreams come true, even robot soldiers are possible in it (u understand rajnikant movies were animations right?). i think you have no idea of wat u r talking about.
the giants working on it have spend billions and yet they stand no where close to what was expected but on the right track.
if its all true... why keep it a secret. it about time your north and west neighbors too be taken care of. dont u think so? lol

On a serious note, plz refrain from watching too much bollywood movies especially krish and rajnikant ultra super human movies... coz u r confusing reality with animations here.

These are pretty much my thoughts as well. Albeit I still think their mismanagement issues will continue but we will start seeing a lot more domestic programs out of India, than before.

Now that they know they’ve to prepare for China and not Pakistan, they will have to get their act together too.

The one thing that most Pakistanis don’t get is that the one thing that keeps Indians back, is their mismanagement. It’s not the lack of money or lack of presence of an established industrial and technical base.

We aren’t even at Step 1 of this struggle.

Considering the PAF Chief mentioned these the energy weapons two years ago and that AZM incorporates these concepts - I think we all can sleep that our usual one upping is per tradition.

India naturally should go for ucav last time they flew manned aircraft to Pakistan they lost an mki a mig 21 and shot down their own helicopter with 17 deaths in an act of self ownage
