India under fire over destroyed satellite 'space junk'

.
A: it is not necessary to have similar technology to disable the satellite, An anti-satellite weapon, or ASAT, is anything that destroys or physically damages a satellite. That's the broad definition.
ASATs take many shapes, but the clearest examples follow kinetic-kill models, in which an object in space or on the ground is sent to collide with an orbiting satellite, destroying both object and target with the energy of the crash.

But an ASAT doesn't need to be airborne. "If the intent is to stop the transmission of information from the satellite to the ground, taking out the ground station achieves the same goal, without the space debris.

Or a maneuverable satellite could be directed to smash into another satellite, too.
OR a laser, if used to "temporarily dazzle or permanently 'blind' a satellite by destroying its sensors," would also be considered an ASAT weapon, keeping in view Pak china relations it is possible that in near future pakistan could have a similar anti satellite laser base to deal with the threat as china has in xinjiang

B: if Pakistan is not important why these days entire indian politics revolving around anti Pakistani sentiments ???? for last two month modi is selling the anti pakistani CHOORAN to its public ... and war is all about making it expensive to enemy otherwise russians were second largest military power when they were collapsed
Well although some won't admit this, Pakistan is a very real threat to India, which means it will definitely figure into India's national security policies in some way. Since relations with China have been improving, it looks like the focus will be on Pakistan. The BJP is known for hawkish foreign policy, so its stance on Pakistan is not surprising. Although I am in no way a fan of Congress, I am kind of curious to see how or if Indo-Pak relations would change if the Italian wins in May.

Same thing as Modi's statements, go down the toilet.
His statements translate actually into reality. He is the "BIG Man" in his office, bose of his party and boss of the government.
Army generals don't dominate his decisions and even his closest friends could not guess what goes in his mind. He is the official boss of 1/6th of world's humanity.

AFAIK both of these technologies exist with India but not either is there with Pakistan.

We have DL variants of PSLV & GSLV what we have been testing for a while can implant their upper stages in orbit after putting satellite in orbit as a killer orbiter against the target satellite. For geostationary orbit, India's payload assist module upper stage can be added.

Similarly, India has DEWs too. Though bigger lasers like KALI & DURGA will have to be used, they have to be amplified for shooting down a satellite.

Shooting down a satellite with a laser is relatively difficult because of scattering. Currently, India's operational lasers are only for stunning human eyes for mob control and a few systems for shooting down drones are in development. Shooting down planes and satellites is a decade away at least.

I repeat, these technologies take decades and even if Pakistan manages to acquire them from somewhere, SSLV will make them useless.

Entire doesn't. It's a chapter which sometimes beefs up while sometimes calms down.
It has historical reasons. The pain of partition of homeland and the lose of loved ones in the hands of jihadis justifies.

I've lost someone I really loved in a similar peaceful jihadi attack and I'm ready to blow myself with jihadis if my goverment orders me. Enough is enough.
Islam is an Arabic religion and has nothing to do with Indian subcontinent.

I have been repeating same thing over & over. Indian hate for Pakistan is totally different from Pakistani hate for India.

Indians don't get excited by this "rivalry" in the "region". They aren't in any arms race. India alone forms 74% of population, 76% of area and 80% of economy of the Indian Subcontinent and being the sole real regional power and fulcrum of the region. Plus if there was any arms race, India won it long long ago while it was trying to match great powers.
Unlike Pakistan, the self proclaimed regional power withou any capabilities beyond its borders, India can mobilze military not only anywhere in Southern Asia but entire Indian Ocean region and can only be challenged by powers from outside world.

Indians actually hate Pakistan. The only two Pakistani things they are worried about Pakistani nukes and Pakistani terrorists with nukes. They look it down, not racing with it.

We aren't competing with you, we aren't your rival, we are your enemy. Sooner you realize, better it will be for you.
and war is all about making it expensive to enemy otherwise russians were second largest military power when they were collapsed
Off course, its expensive for Pakistan only. India's defense budget is as low as 1.46% of GDP and still going down.

Second, Soviet was matching US in every field. Pakistan is only investing in deterrents which ensure its existence. Soviet economy was even substantial against that of America and military in numbers was close in size. Same is not true for Pakistan against India. We are nothing like US-USSR/France-Germany. We are more like Russia and the Ukraine.

And the pace at which gap between India and Pakistan is growing, India will be far more powerful than Pakistan in upcoming decades, far far more powerful than its today.

India's gradually growing aggressive stance is proportional to its power. India was dominant in bilateral issues in 2010s unlike being same in 1990s. From now on, it will be more aggressive too with time.

No one is denying Pakistan being a threat. It's just not threat in way of versus. An unstable state with nuclear weapons is a problem. Obviously, India may win in a full scale all out nuclear war. But it will incur very heavy civil losses due to fallout (radiations).

Many Pakistanis won't like it but Pakistan is more like that of DPRK (North Korea). It's not an arch rival but a rough, weak & broken ideological state with nuclear weapons.

Relations with China were always like that. Doklam stand off just gave a temporary goosebump. Also, while bleeding China, American trade war is now heading towards India also.
The strategic centre of world from East Asia & Pacific is slowly shifting towards Indo Pacific as Far East is slowing down and aging while Indian Subcontinent and India superior (dragon's tail) have started to rise.

India would never want a hostile neighbour in immediate neighborhood. India can afford a hostile US. But not China. Similarly, China wouldn't want to lose neutrality and get another enemy in immediate neighborhood which may become threat in future.

BJP is a nationalist party. So, it well harvested Indian people's frustration, inferiority complex (against developed countries what Indians developed over decades), anger & dreams and transformed them into nationalism.

Creation of Pakistan was itself was a setback strategically, economically and symbolically for India and how, it needs a dedicated thread.

But somehow your line "Pakistan is a very real threat to India" has attracted a thank from @BRAVO_.

Indeed, your forum is full of such people. For instance, the one Pakistani guy who is talking of mining asteroids in response to Indian ASATs.

Indians just come here for fun taleem from such intelligent people and sometimes even those so called "THINK TANKS" so that their brilliant comments can boost our IQs.

Instead of replying to this high level of stupidity here, we choose to make dedicated threads on our forums for such idiotic musings to copy paste this ilm.

After all of discussions which went on entire day, we give at least our 5 minutes to those threads to increase our IQs.

Do search "Idiotic musings" on google to find culmination of being jahil.

Regards
