The Indian Armed forces are aware about the platforms and from a long time at that. It will only play to your disadvantage.. One of the reason India did not consider F-16 was that Pakistan already operated them...

For what? For You? What on earth do you have to offer? India will still be buying about $30-40 billion worth of military equipment from Russia. Russia knows which side it's bread is buttered, only the utterly foolish or the utterly desperate (that probably explains the fervent hope & prayer) would believe otherwise. Truth is that with the exception of China (& North Korea, if you want), no one, yeah no one will choose you over India. Time to wake up & smell the coffee. More silly dreams will only lead to the same disillusionment that all that talk of how your strategic location made America your virtual prisoner has gotten you into. The U.S. giving you a hard time has made you into silly chaps running behind scraps of international diplomacy. No one is about to share a meaty bone with you chaps till you clean up your act & offer something more substantial than merely a "strategic location" with free terrorism thrown in.

Btw, this is the same ToI that you chaps happily ridicule. Standard ToI exaggerated, over the top stuff. If you don't believe me, watch Times Now where everything becomes a earth shattering, life altering event. Same group, same habits!

We should encourage Russia more to get close with Pakistan. So we can add more pressure on Pakistan from both US and Russia to bring terrorist attacking India to book and hang them and close the terrorist camps inside Pakistan.

This is the new world order. The Americans messed up big time. The Yankees are going home, and it looks like they will never be the sole superpower again. They have lost their world influence and a lot of American high school students to went to war in Iraq and Afghanistan are dead. America will never recover from this brain drain.

The British and Japanese empires were merely flukes in history. Britain and Japan will probably never be strong again. Especially when Britain's and Japan's populations are declining and getting older.

India will never be a Great Power due to its own internal contradictions and having territorial disputes with Pakistan and China.

India doesn't want to solve the territorial disputes with just and moral principles.

Russia is not going to ditch India but will will use you against America, so we Indians have no problem with it.

I really hope they can forget the west and create a east pact to counter NATO. Russia China India Pakistan Indonesia Iran etc.. But that will never happen, India and Pakistan will never fight on the same side, which does make me disappointed because they fought together before so why not now?

India and Pakistan can definitely fight on the same side. There are sane people on both sides of the border ...so if the time ever arises we both will fight against whoever threatens us.

Pakistan has much to offer to Russia and vice versa. We need to make new long time friends We need to realign our policy and one thing I praise is getting Russia in to confident and bringing them to talking table.Plus taming of US.

NEW DELHI: Russia, India's strongest international partner, is trying its hand at engaging Pakistan, an exercise that will be watched carefully in New Delhi.

Vladimir Putin, Russian president, will be in Islamabad on September 26 for a "quadrilateral" meeting with Tajikistan, Pakistan and Afghanistan on the future of Afghanistan. Putin will also have a first-ever bilateral summit in Islamabad along with the quadrilateral.

So this means the Chess game within the regional politics is getting a new dimension, new partenerships are getting developed...its excellent for the stability of the region.......
