It was retorical question.Of course it is. I am not the one who asked for numbers.
An average Muslim stepping out of his home is safer in India than in Pak. Just compare the stats of sectarian violence. What's done is done. I don't see Indian Muslims making a beeline to emigrate. Pakistanis jump at the chance. It was retorical question.
End of the day Muslims in Pakistan are infinitely better off than Muslims in India.
Our leaders were smart enough to know that that this would happen
It's because of scarcity of resources in Pakistan. Not because of some imaginary strife.I don't see Indian Muslims making a beeline to emigrate. Pakistanis jump at the chance.

Not from Hindu families who were living there. Do u not get that? The Hindus who remained in Pakistan(and thus became Pakistani citizens) did not have their homes taken away. The only homes Muslims took(alotted by the government) were the ones left abandoned. In order to compensate the ppl who had left everything behind(in India)...

And when the opportunity was presented, Indian Muslims did make a beeline to emigrate in 1947.
Only a tiny fraction of Indian Muslims emigrated to Pak. And a significant amount were forced from their homes in Indian Punjab.
Forced to live in Ghettos. The gang violence has evolved into terrorism.
Muslim or not. An average Pakistani leads more a Content Life than an Indian.
You need money, resources, connections to emigrate, Indian Muslims are the poorest, most marginalized group in India, holding onto the old Hindustan our land, the Mughals and all that historical background and so...people don't leave their own ancestral land often...

...a very large percentage of rich Muslims emigrated to Pakistan after independence and later years, that includes Memons, Bohris, Agha Khanis, Punjab Saudagarans, Patiala's, Rampur's and more.
6 million, many forced from Punjab and Bengal. So it would still be a fraction of the total population - those that voluntarily emigrated.Lol close to 10 million Muslims migrated to Pakistan from India...
I have no idea about Muslims living in ghettos in Pakistan, so I will take your word for it.
Maybe the average Pak is more content. Perhaps you need some discontent to kickstart your growth rate.

How about Indians running to hongkong only to find themselves getting kicked out to Sydney?I have no idea about Muslims living in ghettos in Pakistan, so I will take your word for it.

Then they would emigrate to Pakistan or Bangladesh. But they don't.

...Just to give you one example, one of my first cousin family with 2 daughters and one son migrated to Australia from India, they were Indian nationals...way back in the 80's...recently 2 of the daughters got married, to Pakistanis, one is a doctor there in Sydney, the other one is an Engineer from NED Karachi, Pakistan, the reason they gave was there are hardly any educated Muslims from India in Australia, and from good cultured families as well...so they choose grooms from Pakistan.
It is a vicious cycle for Muslims in India, no education...no jobs and no jobs...no education, we all know the jobs and education quota's for Dalits, SC/OBC/ST caste in India and Muslims are left in the lurch.
How about Indians running to hongkong only to find themselves getting kicked out to Sydney?
