My post ~15 should suffice on how members abide even when there is a sticky thread.....in this case, "Acts of terrorism in Pakistan"......never seen you commenting on those multiple threads regularly opened by the Indian members.!!
Kindly check the threads. I also tell people that there is already a thread running.

Also, in this case there isn't a sticky thread existing.

Are you making this threads just because you hate when Indians open multiple threads or Are you genuinely interested in this issue.

Seems like your reason is the former one.

I have to say that we experienced this in India, my wife and even my young daughters were subjected to sexual harassment, its shocking how many in India consider this to be Eve tteasing when in reality it is sexual harassment.

Indian women are subjected to this every day of their lives and it doesn't matter if they are 5 or 60 is a sad fact that Indians need to deal with.

Can you explain further what kind of sexual harassment your wife and daughter had to suffer in India ?

Indian women make up 50% of Indians so I am sure India is dealing with it the best we can.

It's pretty barbaric but keep in mind that it was written over 2500 years ago and was just one quote from numerous ones, all written by different people. Also keep in mind that it was written within the context of marriage all those years ago & that marital rape even today is not considered an offense in many countries (still barbaric & heinous). Remember also that the Upanishads are not used as Hindu law books & no one defends any such remarks today nor do they derive their present moral positions directly from any such writing.

Just for sake of mentioning banglor. few days back an Indian court defended it and even given a ruling.

anyway i dont see any reason we should discuss or even blame religion for such crimes because in most of the cases the criminals are more liberal and edcuated persons and have nothing to do with religion.

i am sure he is talking about ogling by Indian men at white skinned women.

We debated this before when you opened a "Rape Query" thread.....i guess nothing has come to conclusion.
As for your judgement, kindly go through all the threads on this incident and see how much or rather how less have i contributed......even before you, i suggested in the suggestion forum, that perhaps we need a "Blah Blah" section on this forum.

we should not make this a reason to open multiple threads on same topic.

its better for sake of protecting women rights to post the follow ups in the same thread.

New year, old shame: 17-year-old raped by two in Delhi on December 31 night

NEW DELHI: Just hours before Nirbhaya's ashes were immersed in the Ganga, a 17-year-old girl studying in class XI of a prominent south Delhi school was allegedly sedated and raped by two men at a New Year's party in the upscale Safdarjung Enclave area of south Delhi, police sources told TOI on Tuesday.

The two accused, who work in leading IT companies, were arrested late at night after the girl approached the police. They live in Sarojini Nagar with their families. Both are in their late 20s. While one is a computer engineer with an IT company, the other works in the HR department of a blue-chip tech and consulting multinational, an officer said.
The accused were produced in Saket court on Tuesday afternoon and later sent to Tihar jail. The whole operation was kept under wraps by the police. TOI attempted to call senior police officers to confirm the report and also sent text messages but got no response.

Sources in Delhi Police revealed that the girl had said in her statement that one of the accused had befriended her on a social networking site a few months ago. The accused had expressed his wish to meet the victim several times and use to chat with her online.

On New Year's Eve, the accused convinced the girl to meet at a south Delhi market after which he coaxed her to accompany him in his car to an undisclosed location. As per the girl`s statement, the accused gave her a drink which was laced with a heavy dose of sedatives after which she began to feel dizzy.

The girl alleged that the accused then took turns to rape her inside the flat and then left her alone. They even threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

However, the girl managed to flee from their clutches after the accused left her alone and went out. She rushed to Safdarjung Enclave police station after taking an auto and reported the incident to the cops.

The stunned cops immediately formed six teams and dispatched them to various locations on the basis of the information provided by the victim.

The operation was supervised by the joint commissioner of police southern range, Vivek Gogia and DCP south Chhaya Sharma, the source said. The raiding teams were being led by additional DCP south P S Kushwah.

Meanwhile, the girl`s medical examination was conducted at Safdarjung Hospital which confirmed rape, a source said. The girl was provided with medical help and counseling and a case of outraging a woman`s modesty and criminal intimidation was registered on the basis of her statement. The call records of the victim helped cops get the location of the accused and one of the teams nabbed the two and placed them under arrest.

During interrogation, the accused accepted their involvement before the police and confessed to having lured the girl on pretext of meeting on New Years Eve, police said.

then you should not bypass it atleast because it is only leading to blocking women rights.

We need a seperate thread for this news.. lot of stuff to discuss over the news .. hurry up.

You need a strong stomach to discuss such news . indeed alot of stuff to discuss if not then one needs a personal dent to absorb the reality.

.
If someone want to discuss the issue, he will talk about valid points at one thread, not opening new threads on every rape incident in India and every article published around the world against same incident in India.

Sure why not?

I'm not aware of what you speak (the particular case) but that is the law in India (on marital rape). Even in the new law proposed to be passed, marital rape is not mentioned. While I'm fully in support of the principle involved (in marital rape), I must confess, I simply know of no practical, reasonable manner in which such a law can be implemented, especially in a country like India where the social developments are not yet at the stage they are in Europe.

P.S.
Are you suggesting that a court in India quoted from the Brihadaranayaka Upanishad & defended this particular quote?

i see frustration NOT a strong stomach here.

trolls are everywhere by now you must grow a thick skin and debate the issue with solid arguments if you also play like a troll then it shows lack of your ability to defend
