Just came across this article.

Indians are now admitting that they started this round of LOC skirmishes by violating ceasefire.

Now we know why they did not want an impartial inquiry. The GOI knew and could not entertain the possibility of a neutral party making an inquiry into this matter. Kudos to journalists across the border for exposing this.

The desire for peace is much stronger than calls for war on both sides of the border. Now we know who is who on this forum too.

Mods, I felt that this news was important enough to merit a thread, because it points to an ever-present trend. Namely arrogance of many Indians who assume that Pakistanis are just dying to have peace.

When Indians violate the ceasefire, what do they expect? Flowers? Who started this, I ask you?

I am not quoting anything out of context, just highlighting what started all this. The whole article is there for anyone to read. Look at the source, the headline. The skewness of perspective jumps out. Just notice a 70 yr old granny being blamed as if she started all this; of course it is an Indian source after all.

How can people expect peace after Indians show such arrogance? What did they do after Paksitanis protested. Just ignored the protest and kept at it.

Nope, just highlighted the Indian role in starting this latest skirmish. There were alternatives to the brazen violation of ceasefire. But IA just ignored Pakistani protests. Were they expecting flowers for this?

The crux of the matter is that ceasefire violations will happen from either side from time to time and soldiers will die. That is almost inevitable given the nature of relations between India and Pak .

But this beheading and mutilating the dead bodies business from Pakistani side has to stop. Respect the dead.

So Pakistanis were right about Indians conducting a raid across LOC. That is just great. Three soldiers are dead, peace process is threatened, dumb allegations are flying about how Pakistanis are barbarians and when semi-credible information trickles out, we find that Pakistanis were right after all. Indians act as though they own IOK, LOC, and Azad Kashmir as well.

How can peace succeed in face of such arrogance?

The crux of the matter is that ceasefire violations will happen from either side from time to time and soldiers will die. That is almost inevitable given the nature of relations between India and Pak .

But this beheading and mutilating the dead bodies business from Pakistani side has to stop. Respect the dead.

Saying that ceasefire violations will happen is a bad excuse for Indian behavior during a fragile peace process.

Pakistani narrative is in the process of being vindicated. India started this, Indians ignored our protests, Indians conducted a cross-LOC raid, and Indians have been crying about a beheading, which most likely did not take place.
