India probes identity card for monkey god Hanuman

.
First of all Ramayan is older than 2000 years. Its almost as old as the Veda's which would make it 3000 years old or more.

Back then Large parts of India was full of jungle and people hardly travelled outside their village, town or district. Even if they did, fewer travelled through the jungle as getting killed would have been a certainty. It was full of lepords, tigers, lions, snakes, poisionous incests, etc. Its only today that jungles are devoid of any of these animals.

Which is why exile into the jungle was a death sentence. Keikeyi hoped that Rama would never come back to replace Bharat. Which is why Rama's father died of heart break, he feared his son would never come back alive.

The only people who travelled into the jungle were Rishi Muni's and those Exiled like Rama.

The reason for confusion was not racism but misinterpretation over time.

Van-ras became Vanr-as which is the world for Monkey. Sanskrit is a language with the largest number of Homonyms.

That typo was hilarious!

Havent heard this theory before.....but isn't the Sanskrit word spelt as Vaa-nara? with Nara being a synonym for Human and Vana being a synonym for Forest?

Yes. Forest would actually be "Vn" and man would be"Nr", the habit of adding "a" to the end of any sanskrit word is a bad english practice. Its similar to south Indians adding "m" to the end of any sanskrit word. e.g. Ram to Rama to Ramam.

Valmiki ramayan does talk about using Monkeys, Bears and dogs in battle too. Which would make sense since the battle with Ravan described sounded like a guerilla warfare fought in the mountains of Lanka. It would be normal for jungle tribes to make use of these animals for jungle warfare. Only the final battle with Ravan (or Ravana for you) takes place on open ground and in the plains.

Elephants and horses are only useful on warfare in the plains, not in thick jungles.

This shows how serious things can get...... Imagine if one can create a Aadhar card of Hanuman, Howmany such can be created and used for other purposes....

Yes this is terrible. Such cards can also be used for riots, murder and terrorism.

If such aadhar card is issued to terrorists we would end up having their fingerprint, iris record and picture in our database. This is unacceptable. :coffee:

(yeah it is digital...something very new for pakistan...i cn undrstnd :D)

Yes it is new for us.

I wish we had digital records like yours of our CNIC (computerized national Identity Cards), NICOP (National Identity card for Overseas Pakistani), POC (Pakistan Origin Card) and Machine Readable Passports since 2000.

I also wish we had a department like yours called National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) since 2000.

I also wish if we could have shared our expertise with other countries.

Government of Sudan - Civil Registration Project
Government of Kenya - Passport Issuing System
Government of Bangladesh - High Security Driver’s License
Government of Nigeria - National Identity Management System (NIMS)

Kurangan is the malayalam word for Monkey which comes from Tamil Kuranku for monkey.

Another word for monkey in malayalam is Markadan which is again Mar-Kadan or people-jungle or jungle folks.

Vanara is still sanskrit.

What happens if a terrorist gets a aadhar card ? ............ nothing !

Except now we would have his fingerprint and picture and name on record.

.
biometrics systems works on proximity not 100% match and i don't think the issuing authority will be validating every new thumb impression with millions in their database to find duplicate as it's not feasible.

@ Topic: If it's just printing without any entry into system than it's not big issue

true..fingerprints cant be 100%
but iris scan close to 100 %
