Because you are a citizen of a country and you need to pay for civil and military amenities. YOu think Muslim rulers were just prophet and saints who will waive taxes for the Hindus?

You are not looking at the big picture here.

Some Rohingya did come during British rule but others have been in Myanmar since the 1400s.
Even the ones that came during British rule have every right to stay in Myanmar as they were in the land when Myanmar became independent in 1948. No other colonised country in the world has tried this excuse to cleanse it's own people.

Indic people were there all the time even before 1400s. As people used to follow Hinudism and Buddhism they were not counted as Muslims and counted as Rakhine. As most of the Hindus and Buddhist converted in Bengal so did it Myanmar after this time period. This is one of the thing people just omit.

BD can easily defeat Myanmar but now is not the right time due to current world geopolitical situation.

With 10-15 years then the window will open to take whatever chunk of Myanmar BD wants.

Bangladesh does not need to do anything. It will come naturally. These Rohingyas will never become Burmese from their heart.

AL government will not do it as they think that will empower Jamat and BNP. BNP will not do it dreaming of a non Indian peaceful neighbour.
But I suggest BD does not get involved militarily but diplomatically. Periodically put them before HR and UN and keep sanction in place. Keeping pressure will also drive out genuine FDI. Just keeping them poor should be the main goal. It will disintegrate from within.

Nonsense. The pact of Umar has no mention of this nonsense. Jizya was and is obligatory upon non believers (that too only the People of the Book).The penalty is death or conversion. Period.

What well known fact are you talking about? There were all kinds of settlements from among both Indian Muslims and Hindus during the British rule. But, none was in Arakan. It was mostly in Rangoon. Rohingyas are different from them, and they do not regard the Indian Muslim settlers as their own.

Immediately after Burma got independence from England, it started expelling all the Indians irrespective of their religion. Rohingyas are different people than this group of Indian settlers. Do not please mismatch all the chapters of history in one single paragraph.
