India Pakistan Dialog - Half Full or Half Empty?

Are we discussing about Chinese Japanese trade ?? come to the point..

don't put silly arguments and get away from the topic.

I was replying to your post:

The question is do we need a cooperation like China and Japan which is a one sided ? of course not... you put a bad example.. but that also reveals an exploitation of a partnership..

Like China to Japan, India also enjoys a trade surplus towards Pakistan which cannot be overcome in any recent time.

Which was completely wrong.

Japan is the one, with the large trade surplus over China. How is that "exploitation"?

It is not NEED, It is inside heart of most of the population on either side but then we somehow get distracted by either politicians, terrorists, beureaucrates, Media or History. Lets go with the wind once for Peace and we all will be happy.

I am currently in Doha and the guy who recieved me to drop me off at my hotel was a pakhtun from near Islamabad, first i thought he was iranian/azeri and spoke in english.

At one point,he said yeh nazdheek hi hain and i loved him at that very moment.I chatted with him talking about everything from cricket to music to pakistani politics and yesterday i had a meal at his place after eating shormas and falafells for a week.

I think this incident answers the question in full.

Cooperation is very important. Friendship on the other hand, is both unlikely and unnecessary.

Look at China and Japan, we have the largest bilateral trading relationship in Asia. And the chances of a violent conflict between us is almost zero.

We are not friends with each other, but we cooperate in almost every field. And both sides gain from it.

You have no clue about India and Pakistan.

It is not the same as Japan and China.

. . .
The conflict between China and Japan, is economic and diplomatic. And we still share the largest economic relationship in all of Asia.

Whereas India's conflicts with her neighbours, still descends to the level of violent carnage in Mumbai hotels, so let's not derail the thread with this BS shall we?

Balls to your index and Japan is too big a power for you to have a choice about.Japan is a super power and u will make peace with her, whether u want to or not.

Fine. You can try to be friends first, and cooperate second.

I doubt that will work, but it's your choice.

Let's see what happens after 5 years.

You dont have to be friends with tour cousins to end a feud. You just call up and have a meal at either of your places.Thats all.

There is always been cooperation.. but with caution. we have 'set examples' in the outer world .. thanks

Hmm Trolling in one thread and singing for peace in one.. you sir are a strange man

Its not trolling for peace, India and Pakistan will never reach the status of friendship or even good neighbors given the bitter history between the two but i am a strong proponent of co-operation between the two especially in science, technology and trade. Why deprive millions of people from their bread and butter over border issues? the border issues will exist either way so let it not become a hindrance in co-op.

Look at China and Japan. Or look at UAE and Saudi, the former is being ruled by AL Rashid family driven out of power by the Al-Sauds of Nejd. They have learned to bury their historical differences and yielding great co-operation under GCC.

Since when Japan became a power of some kind whether regional or international?? it doesn't even operate a sizable army.

I would say India and Pakistan have a lot more in common than China and japan.Although U reaction as a chinese is still understandable

CD, nobody will question your IQ if you don't have opinion about certain things..

Anyways the India-Pak relation is definitely a natural need. It will benefit both of us..
