India Pakistan Dialog - Half Full or Half Empty?

It is not NEED, It is inside heart of most of the population on either side but then we somehow get distracted by either politicians, terrorists, beureaucrates, Media or History. Lets go with the wind once for Peace and we all will be happy.

.
Cooperation is very important. Friendship on the other hand, is both unlikely and unnecessary.

Look at China and Japan, we have the largest bilateral trading relationship in Asia. And the chances of a violent conflict between us is almost zero.

We are not friends with each other, but we cooperate in almost every field. And both sides gain from it.

Many are happy in their place and the general populace would care less about issues and more about earning their bread and butter. India and Pakistan have a potential to alleviate many from poverty by co-operating. Pakistan naturally occupies a strategic trade and energy corridor and in our India obsession we are denying ourselves a very important economic right.

CD, I dont know how much you know us South Asians but just to share, These all issues which we have is more over emotional and egoistic stand. Being logical, Even we have issues with Your country but our trade is of $60 B+. Issues between us can be resolved in a week or so if people take the things logically but then there is history and there is a stand off. Why we resolve the issue?? Why we sacrifice?? They have done that with us!! These are primarily factors between us.

.
In my opinion, the culture, food, language, and shared history should have made up natural allies. Unfortunately, vested interests on both sides have succeeded in keeping the hatred burning.

But unlike Chinese 'type of cooperation' that back stabs the trading partner when tension arises (Amid Tension, China Blocks Vital Exports to Japan ) we share a good relationship up to a point which benefits mutually. Only need is to widen the gap..

Indo-Pak relation can improve Pakistan's economic condition and decrease the influence of China in Asia

The conflict between China and Japan, is economic and diplomatic. And we still share the largest economic relationship in all of Asia.

Whereas India's conflicts with her neighbours, still descends to the level of violent carnage in Mumbai hotels, so let's not derail the thread with this BS shall we?

You first talk about China-Japan and when posted a right reply against your BS in post no 3 now talking about derailing? Shameless.

It is perfectly relevant to the thread, if you actually read the post.

It's an example of peaceful cooperation, without the need for actual friendship.

Since we all know that "friendship" is an unlikely outcome.

Cd aa gaya.. Beda gark ho gaya thread ka... look at that

Cooperation is very important. Friendship on the other hand, is both unlikely and unnecessary.

why unnecessary ?

The question is do we need a cooperation like China and Japan which is a one sided ? of course not... you put a bad example.. but that also reveals an exploitation of a partnership.. Like China to Japan, India also enjoys a trade surplus towards Pakistan which cannot be overcome in any recent time. So the question is will Pakistan accept these kind of partnership ?

.
.
Your facts are completely wrong.

Japan actually enjoys a large trade surplus over China.

.

Are we discussing about Chinese Japanese trade ?? come to the point..

don't put silly arguments and get away from the topic.
