Why would Taiwan choose a design that does not exist. India has no ability in designing a conventional submarine. It has only purchase conventional subs from another country. So this is definitely fake news as an Indian conventional sub does not exist.

I presume, you meant 4000-6000 tons.

Technically
Surface combatants. Yes. Submarines. No. The only chaps who can make them are Mazgaon. The designs are Scorpenes, which means it will need to be French. There is no existing SSK design which is of Indian origin.

Economically
No. We do not have the ability to give financially viable loans for such combatants.

Politically
Impossible.

The article is hogwash. No Indian company could have bid or offered for this. Especially if its for submarines.
