Haha
Buddy! Are you really trying to preach a Marathi manus about pride in our native tongue?!
I mean we literally have an over the top love for our Marathi! I’ll sharpen my tongue to Marathi every chance I get.
Don’t think Marathis take dictation from anyone. If you grew up in Mumbai like I did, you will know this first hand.
though Hindi is extremely useful and being born in Indore gave me a good grasp in Hindi in my early years. I think it’s a matter of pride for me to be fluent in the national language.
added benefit is for Indians and Pakistanis to bond abroad due to the commonality between Hindi and Urdu.
Coming back to topic:
I don't think this is the right move. English is a global language and it gives many Indians the edge over people from other nationalities simply because we are taught English from 1st grade. It's better that India keeps looking outward instead of looking inwards.
Another person triggered it seems. Chaan paiki asach matimandasarkha vaagat raha. Baghu he tula samazlay ka nahi. Maybe @xeuss will translate this for you in your internal group lol.
Oh yes, a lot of girls too. It didn't matter: girl, boy (I never discriminated ) -- any kid helping me get Hindi, Marathi, Civics, Maths off my back was welcome...
Brings back history. There were four major houses of Peshwas - Holkar, Scindias, Gaikwads...and what was the fourth? The Bhonsles?
"But the most controversial announcement is that primary schools, both private and government-run, will “where possible” be required to conduct lessons in either the children’s “mother tongue” or “regional language” - in other words, not English."I don't think this is a right move either. This is what I wrote earlier.
I have a feeling that private schools will gain some sort of exemption from this. This will lead to a rush of enrollment in private schools and then we will finally see the complete privatization of education in India.
Fastest way to learn new language to get a girl friend and it's not so difficult to find one in Mumbai. It's easier to find one in Singapore.
Heck I've studied in Girls only school til 3rd grade before moving to Boys only (desert) school.
Why tf are you all so preachy all the time? Have a beer and lighten up.

Newalkars (Jhansi state), Pawars (Dewas State, Dhar State, Chhatarpur State), Bhonsales(Nagpur and Thanjavur), Patwardan(Jamkhandi), Bhave(Ramdurg) and other small states like Kolhapur, Sangli, Bhor, Mudhol, Sawantwadi, Phaltan, Ramdurg, etc.correct. Bhonsales of Nagpur. Believe they’re the descendants of the clan of Shivaji.
There were other less significant houses as well, but these houses were the seats of military and political power
انشاءاللہ تمہیں بھی ، لیکن تو ڈھنگ سے پوسٹ کِیا کر یہاں آئندہبھائی ، خدا آپ کو سلامت رکھے
Matimanda is basically pyscho.
Dude I was no.1 harami right from school days. There were other things to learn from girls apart from her language.....
Gujarati, Sindhi, Marathi..all girls were welcome in my book
