India keeps war hysteria alive, says ‘spy’ held

Pakistanis should look at the way our legal system is, He was appeared in the court within 24 hours, given to police custody, where else you can see such thing? even Im against such transparency.

Some title bearers should behave themselves unless losing out and thrashed in the discussion.

.
What PROPAGANDA?! DO you even know the definition of this word??? Or has someone indoctrinated into your brain that everything that does not fit to you is propaganda conspiracy blah blah blah :hitwall:

The report just presents facts and even the title say ALLEGED spy.

It is propaganda for the Indian masses.

India 1
ISI 0

. . .
Indian intelligence agencies outsmarted Pakistan's ISI.

Hence, India 1; Pakistan 0.

What is so hard to understand?

The article just quotes what they heard from their SOURCES! This is not official yet.
"Intelligence sources said that Mr Sumer was sharing information of the IAF's exercise with his maternal uncle in Rahim Yar Khan in Pakistan for the past few days. His uncle has been working for Inter-Services Intelligence for the last few years, they said."

Furthermore they call him an alleged spy, thus he has not been convicted yet, nor has his crime been proven.
The article just presents facts.

It does not try to influence opinions, it does not show any dubious facts it just shows the information that was available at that time. Some posters here seem to think that anything that does not fit their views is evil zionist/hindu/western propaganda or a CIA/RAW/Mossad conspiracy....

Since when does propaganda have anything to do with facts? It's all about perceptions and headlines.

And the headline says "Alleged spy caught for passing on Iron Fist info to Pakistan"

99% of the people will mentally skip over the word "alleged" in the headline. After all, if the intelligence agencies, who are experts at their jobs, went to all the trouble of arresting this guy, he is probably guilty. The word 'alleged' is probably just there as legal insurance, on the rare off chance that the agencies can't prove their case.

The real facts of the story will be published, if ever, on page 34, bottom right, in small print.

Thats purely your assumption and does not make it propaganda.

Here a definition from a dictionary:

"Information, esp. of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view."

Now where exactly can you find any of these features in the article?

An Indian man has been arrested on charges of spying for Islamabad on military wargames staged on India’s border with Pakistan, police said on Monday.

The 35-year-old man is accused of passing on details of the exercises held by the Indian Air Force on Friday in the western desert state of Rajasthan, senior state police officer D.S. Dinkar told AFP.

Dinkar identified the man as an Indian national called Sumaar Khan and said he was allegedly spying for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence, “passing information related to Indian defence installations and military activities”.

Police alleged the man used mobile phones and Internet to transmit information but did not say when he was arrested.

Both India’s President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh attended the drill, codenamed “Iron Fist”.

Nuclear-armed rivals India and Pakistan frequently accuse each other of spying on each other’s military activities.

The two South Asian neighbours have fought three wars, two over the disputed Himalayan territory of Kashmir, since their partition at independence in 1947.

Earlier this year, Pakistan strongly rejected what it called ‘baseless’ and ‘unfounded’ allegations by India of a cross-border attack by Pakistani troops killing two Indian soldiers, adding that it was ready for a probe by a UN observer body into the incident. “These are baseless and unfounded allegations,” a Foreign Office statement said.

India keeps war hysteria alive, says

. . .
Well at least its better than sending terrorists and bombing Indian cities. Who keeps the war hysteria alive ?

.
ISI was engaged in spying (allegedly).

Thats the point, at the current stage all evidence hint towards this, but it hasnt been proven yet, thus he is alleged of doing this.

Indian agencies outsmarted ISI.

Where exactly did they say this??? This is your interpretation but the article never claimed anything like it. If you interpret something, prove it with a quotation.

Pakistan sending "Non-State Actors" across for terrorism is peace process,India Catching them and showing them to the world is "Keeping War Hysteria alive".

Strictly on topic-Spies hardly ever get traced to their handlers.Stupid but only move available to India.

. .
Mmmm. So why is this improbable? Spy agencies try to recruit people they can contact and have some leverage over. And a lot of spying work is indeed boring recce / ground observation and even some basic stuff initially before a contact matures.

The guy will be prosecuted in India, this is not like those scores of news from pakistan every year where ''Indian spies'' by the truckloads get caught in lahore, chaman etc NEVER to be heard of again. THAT is for gullible public.
