What's new

India is not a country of rapists: German Ambassador to India Michael Steiner

I understand you bhai and i am all up for targeting BBC and people behind it to teach them lesson and it's not a media incentive but it's a corporal lead image assault on Indian men image.

They want to create hysteria in India so our development and tourism go down and people don't invest in India as you can this one case is up and many investor will not invest in India for the same reason.

It's a new generation of warfare and it's about attack on our culture and morale.

This is not a new war. We have been a victim of it for the last 200 years.

Every wonder why Indians were not allowed into the USA even 100 years back ? or 150 years back ?

You will find China town in the US, ever wonder why you never find Indian town in the US ?

I know there is a section in USA under "Atrocity literature" where they create and collect negative side about foregin culture or civilization as this is how they portrayed "Native Americans" as evil and almost killed original Americans.

And what exactly was exposed by the dicumentary. The ideas and thoughts of the rapist who is due to hang by the neck. This documentary makes all Indians look like they have the same thoughts.

Actually no.. Most of you blokes are condemning it even without bothering to watch and even if you did the whole focus seem to be on that rapist because thats what the authorities focused on and the whole unwarranted controversy is about

As i mentioned earlier, It's not only about the Delhi gang rape but it's a human story from all angles, Even the rapist is shown to be a human, Not a monster cos thats exactly what he is,, A product of his environment.. It's about the people and thier stories from both sides of the crime.. Perpetrators and Victims, About Jyoti Singh's parents, Brave people going against tradition and giving thier daughter every possible chance in life to succeed with so much sacrifice, About those thousands of young middle class Indian women and men that got on to the streets not only to protest but wanting a change, The other side of the story about the back ground of the rapists, Mothers, Fathers thier hopes dashed.. Young wife of one of the accused, Their toddler son.. The circumstances that led to what they did or what they turned out to be.. The lawyers, Thought to be educated upper caste men.. With no difference to the ideals those slum dwellers have.. Even worse

Yes it paints a bleak picture of Indian society, But that should not be considered the only pic of the Indian society, As Jyoti's parents and all those young activists show.. And it should'nt be only a Indian narrative.. World over women are treated as objects..

Then what about a ban for BBC in India ?
If the things goes like this it would be a probability.
We have already sent a legal.notice to BBC.Filmmaker was already said earlier it woulfnt be use for commercial purposes .Yet she did the same..
If they dont give us a satisfactory reply for that notice they can expect something.

Does'nt undo the damage done mate

Right and that's why Indian men are marked as rapist . Yeah in this documentary why they always show extremist mindset people interview and why they didn't show the protest and the law passed by this event?

This is one sided documentary to defame India and nothing else.

But good side is situations like this wont happen in future.
If we dont react to this stupidity retard medias in here and their goons from.other countries will repeat this.

That's where we disagree. it is not the foreign media that is to blame, it is the hyperventilating local media that is. Who do you think insists on making a tamasha of every story? There are dozens of reports on TV talking about rapes of children as young as 3 when the actual allegation is of molestation at worst. Do you think anyone who reads or watches that makes that distinction? All they see is "rape". The media uses the word to create a scene & then sits back & watches the fun for days. The BBC is responsible for that? That kind of reporting anywhere else would get a stern reprimand from any regulator but that is par for the course in India. Blaming foreigners is the easy part, we have made a circus of every case. What happened in the Badaun case? How many people would have heard of the 2 girls "raped" & murdered by being hung from a tree and how many of would have heard of the eventual CBI report ruling out rape? We are the ones making a tamasha of ourselves, blaming foreigners always comes easy to us.

They did, plenty of it including interviews with the protestors & members of the Verma committee.

I agree.
Damage is done. But they wont repeat this if we give them a good example .We have 500 news channels alone in here.So absence of BBC wont create any problem.

Sorry, we are not guinea pigs for them to foist their guilt on. Let BBC make documentary of their own women and label it as UK's daughter. Afterall they are getting raped at a more alarming frequency than India.

Coming to women being treated as objects in India, you could not be more wrong. If half of all Indian entrepreneur are women, if 11% Indian women are pilots as opposed to global average of 3, if women walk free in India and are represented in all facets of its economy and society, then it just says we are far far ahead of the rest of the world in Women being equal stakeholders in our country, and no they are not viewed as objects.

Regarding the rapist and his lawyer's view, they are the deviants and black sheep of this society, and they do not represent our culture or our society.

If you and your wife fighting on some issue and you mother is flaming the fight then suddenly your neighbor come and start taking your wife side.

Now seems like you will ignore him right and will tell you mom to be silent?

Seems your neighbor has no interest in your wife but he is just trying to be good human ?

I hope you understand my point.

Go and fulfill your fetish for atrocity literature on the women raped in Australia or Sri Lanka.

Exactly, BBC wants to show that India has got big problems like epidermis. Every one look towards India and tell them you are in trouble. Why don't we tell them, that because they do not have any culture, of covering body, this does not mean they are liberal. Or just because you allow one night stands this does not mean they are fine.

Rather people have no control in their desire and hence what ever happens in pub and disco should be marked as epidermis too. Creating places like night clubs also does not solve problem, it is just ignoring it.
