I see it as not really about winning or losing but having fun and that's guaranteed. He's a good banterer.

What's sad is that this has no mention of how to stop the primary source of pollution, industrial waste flowing freely into the river. Such half hearted measure like planting trees on the banks etc would yield almost no result.
