Well this is excellent work indeed. One should appreciate the effort. I just hope that these millions of trees do not share the fate of millions planted in similar drives in the past where people just planted the tree and moved on, no one took care of it. The kinds of plants usually used in such plantation drives are such that they do not need lot of care but still it is required in first few weeks. I hope people will stay active and will take care of this new plantation post monsoon. If they can do so for a few months/weeks the amount of care/attention required will drop down significantly and if you can save these till next monsoon they will be strong enough to propagate on their own after that.
No I am not bashing India or your attempt but just commenting based on my own experiences in Pakistan. This is how it usually plays out here in Pakistan
In fact, we now have a different and new kind of problem as well. If one party initiates such an activity the others will come crying that the tress selected are not of the right kind.
We are so good at criticism that we can criticize almost everything and do so with such blindness that we will completely ignore anything positive about the matter.
