You are buying his story and not asking from a Pakistani who lives here.Listen to me, I am born and raised in Karachi where beharis mostly live. The fact is that before formation of Bangladesh, east and west Pakistani people married to each other, had families or at least many had friends.
After formation of Bangladesh, many relatives and friends are separated from each other. You don't live here and you don't know what is being taught to us.Old professors and school teacher literally wipe off their tears when they describe the selfishness of politicians and false decision they have selfishly taken and had given chance to Indians for sprout proxy wars. This Zufiqar Ali Bhutto and the moron before him, we hate him not Bangladeshi proole.Do not buy Indian nonsense. They are so obsessed against us that they will potray negative against us.
If you find any Pakistani poster speaking against Hasina, the reason is that she is pro-indian (Pakistani think).Hence out of frustration they blame her, then Bangladeshi for not getting rid of her.
We want successful, safe and happy Bangladesh. We want Bangladesh to have postive relationship with us.
Next time, ask a sane Pakistani not an Indian.
Regards
My father studied in Lahore for some time before war broke out. He still maintains contact with some of his friends in Pakistan through social media. A Bangladeshi and a Pakistani can certainly be friend...but that's for individuals. General sentiment can be different.
One thing is certain that Hasina do not like Pakistan. It is totally understandable why she does not, from both on personal level and on political level. And there is no changing it. But just like Hasina continuing Mujib's legacy, Bhutto's family is still present in Pakistan, no? PPP still get vote using his name, right?
Situation demanded that we get separated. Had it been different, you would be my countryman today. But circumstances have changed. Now situation demands that we cannot get close. We have our own issues and you have your own. They are very different and they have always been very different. At the end being Muslim brothers does not fix everything. If it did there wouldn't be 50+ Muslim majority countries today.
Coming to hatred, I did not specifically mentioned hatred towards Bangladeshis. I meant hatred in general. I hardly ever see any Indian poster threatening to nuke Pakistan here....but I almost daily see Pakistani posters doing that.
What I learned in school is 'Pakistan' means land of pure. Here I see PAKISTAN as Punjab, Afghan(where did it come from?lol), Kashmir, I is somehow ignored, dunno why, Sindh and BaluchisTAN. And East Pakistan was never supposed to be part of it. I wonder is this why you guys relinquished Hyderabad to India, to keep your name intact? And the number of people here thinks this way is scary...like 90%....
Sane people usually are less noisy and keeps quite unless they have something specific to say. It's the insane ones that make the noise....and our politics yours, ours, India's are the same. Has to dwell on hate...Hasina has to hate Pakistan to gain votes, Your politicians have to hate India, India's politicians have to hate Pakistan....
But at some point, we have to come to terms with reality. We have to accept ourselves as who we are and take responsibility. It's easy to hate and the hatred might give you temporary comforts by allowing to think that it's not your fault its the fault of those you hate. But this will only send you to a downward spiral until you face a rude awakening.
Just to let you know, we will get over this. The one's who remembers Pakistan time well are over their 70's. They still run the politics today. But in 10-15 or 20 years they will be gone. I believe everything that happens to us are our own faults. The only thing that we should blame is our weakness. We are not poor because of Pakistan or the Brits. We are poor because our ancestors were not capable to create a better situation for their children. But we should do that for our children.
In the end Pakistanis loving or hating Bangladeshis or Bangladeshis hating Pakistanis does not mean much. We are on a different road. What is necessary is to be able to see things from a neutral perspective. If you cannot see beyond India for the separation(which many Pakistanis here, can't) then you have a long way to go to get rid of your irrational hatred.
