India developing Heavy Lift Launch Vehicle with 16.3 ton to GTO

Chandrayaan-1 failed, it was supposed to map the moon, you seen any Indian moon map? Then somehow US instruments claimed to find water, then they suddenly jump and said an impactor found water too before blowing up into pieces. The problem is Chinese instrument on the LUT probed the surface moisture and concluded there is no possiblity of atmospheric water as claimed by the moon impact probe.

Why you display your high iq again and again just to make sure Chinese are dumb?

Indians are a funny bunch.:p:
Yes very funny and being funny they lit the fire on Chinese back often and enjoy!

. . . . .
Yesterday Chinese said they want to partner India in space exploration as probably they believe that India may beat China to manned moon mission
I doubt that's the reason.

The more likely reason is that the Chinese want to quicken the pace at which they break the west's monopoly in space. India has a fairly mature space program, so a team up is natural.

Cooperation would be good because although both the country's space programs suit their needs perfectly but still both China and India are decades behind the West, the only big advantage we have is we do things cheaply

Difficult ti say when 16 ton Rocket will come but are all set to double the payload of GSLV by 2020 to 2022. Semi cryogenic engine is developing fine and this current vehicle also has a lots of scope for payload improvement. See how we Improve 10% payload in GSLV MKII. It was declared a 2 ton capability vehicle but in next flight, we launched 2.2 ton satellite. With Semi cryogenic Motor, We can take the load of GSLV MK2 upto 3 ton + in Geo and 7 tons in LEO.

ISRO has only recently put a 4 tonne payload into Geostationary orbit, something Beijing did decades ago yet Indians are already talking about 16+ tonne payloads,,,,slow down folks or it will be another......

Failure is the pillar of success, NASA and Russia failed many times and they learned from there. Those get donated missiles cant understand that.

ISRO aleady developed SCE-200 with 2000 kN thrust, its going to be tested this year.

May be to get clue how to successfully launch a mars Mission. They were talking too much about Mars mission but now they seem to be focusing of Moon only. May be Mars mission is too complected for them.

Space X can launch satellites cheaper than both India and China. Their space station resupply missions are also cheaper.

True as of now Space X is far ahead even when it comes to cost effectiveness but there is space for everybody to play. ISRO is also working on it's Reusable Launch Vehicles in a decade time we will know where it will stand

India should get the basics down. It seems that India is either

Work on something that others have accomplished

Or

Claim that ancient India already had the technology.

The difference is Govt's and its agencies doesnt think or speak like most of the posters in this thread...... They have mutual respect to each other's programs and they know very well who is good in what, and who is not so good in what, As you said West had a monopoly in space program with Russia as a counter, China and and india are late to the club (india is the new kid in the block ), a lot can be learnt from each other.....

India's progress in space was hampered by vested in interests in West, if not we would have mastered this technology long back......
