Is this square named after that infamous diamond mate?

That building, not the intersection is named after the Kohinoor diamond; notice the faceted edges on the facade. FYI, the developers are looking to open a 5 star hotel within the building, and it's going to have quite the spectacle of a rooftop bar. :)

.
as far i know the building was named kohinoor square because earlier the name of the place was kohinoor mills

Rahul, that's fantastic shooting.

Positive feedback, amplify the artistic content, minismise the human scale. For eg. your shoots are so good that if you were to compose or focus with a few elements in you pic.'s you'll end up with out-of-this world stuff. India's gen next infrastrucutee is thoeiwing up genuine, photo-shoot material. Like this one of yours:

I've been thinking about the below qoute:

"Bangalore, you believe it or not- is going to become the single largest IT cluster on the planet by 2020. We will have 20 lakh IT professionals in one location- namely Bangalore and 60 lakh indirect employment because of that, and $ 40 Billion (Rs four lakh crore exports, or more accurately $ 400 Billion !) by 2020," Srivatsa Krishna, Secretary to Government, Department of IT, BT and S&T Government of Karnataka, told reporters here. -S. Krishna, Secretary to Government, Department of IT, BT and S&T Government of Karnataka, told reporters here."

Bangalore population is only 10 Million even after being on a tear for the last decade.
That's # 3. Delhi-Bombay-Bangalore.
  • 10 Mil./7 (average Indian family) = 1.42 Mil. families
Bangalore's economy is all labour union, govt's public sector mess.
BEL, BEML, HAL, ITI, NAL, HMT, ISRO, Govt. labs like DRDO, auto manufacturing, agriculture, mining, real-estate etc.
Reverting to the above equation and statement, there are 1.25 million families approx. and about 1 million IT jobs alone. Amazing!
Also, Bangalore is fast catching up to regionalism. Bangalore is starting to dislike outsiders. That usually means Bihari's, Bengalis and Bhaiyyas. That's out of this world. Hyderabad, Pune and Gurgaon are also in the same range.

@cirr Why are you posting pictures of Chinese cities here? I'm not sure if you want your ego massaged or just trolling?

Ego?

What has the above got anything to do with ego?

Do I need to flaunt my ego(whatever it is)before Indians?

Just telling a simple fact and as the title of this thread aptly says: India still has a long way to go,

No need to feed Af.-**** troll proxying for China.

Good to give credit where credit is due.
However, the truth is China launched reforms and it's buildings have a 20 yrs. lead time on India.
China's latest and largest infrastructure on show above is ho-hum only, everything feels a cut-paste.
That is truly sad.

Meanwhile Indian Railways
-This is far more relevent then bullet trains and pie-in-the-sky towers re: India

Pakistan's real-estate is run by the Faujj. Inc. and it's proxies - Bahria, Defence Housing etc., still nothing to talk about.

Bullshit baffles brains!
