'Malabar' as in a general, mythical sort of area, not a factual place or region .

I notice that notwithstanding plenty of Hindu, Buddhist, Mughal and Anglo plus Sikh, Christian and public purpose (forts etc.) style monumental buildings; emerging Inida is coming up with some some neat, slick and inexpensive new age buildings. Nice .

Re: page 223 on pictures of highways, I can say they are as beautifull as Singapore, Malay and Pak.

Indian highways are bigger, newer and avant-garde in contemporary Global design. Expert highway design consultants are on hire even on a per diem rate.

The combination of cheap labour and contemporary sensibilities make Indian highways robust, good-looking and functional. Quite an achievement :applause: .

The hospital..this is an old photo. now its renovated and painted. I reckon one of the best government hospitals..
