What's new

India Developing, but still a long way to go

I grow up in Shanghai, in 1997:

1. even the worst resident building in Shanghai can have internet access.
2. electricity supply is never a problem, even for the worst area, in fact, it is never a problem after 1960s.
3. 80% of high school graduates go to university.
4. public funded medical care is available to everyone, the condition of hospitals are comparable to the ones in Europe, we also have the similar life expectancy.

today's india can not achieve any one of these.

in the 90's there were parts in india that fulfilled all the above conditions. does that mean ALL of india is like that? i hope u see where i am going

and you judge all this about India from seeing some pics on India on this thread....!You electricit output in 1997 was only 75% of present day India so how could everyone had electricity in 1997 and Indian public funded hospital are also very good..ever heard of AIIMS,RR Delhi even in my city you have hospitals like KGMU,SGPGI..and in India even a slum COULD HAVE internet access back in 2006...how can some GRADUATE from HIGH SCHOOL..this is impossible..if you think High School pass outs are graduates!!!

This is RMLIMS Lucknow main building! A Government hospital..it only a small part of 600acrs premises.
