As far as the thread goes..
keeping everything hunky dory is all fine and dandy.. but being overly touchy about even a single negative comment.. is just weird.

I grow up in Shanghai, in 1997:

1. even the worst resident building in Shanghai can have internet access.
2. electricity supply is never a problem, even for the worst area, in fact, it is never a problem after 1960s.
3. 80% of high school graduates go to university.
4. public funded medical care is available to everyone, the condition of hospitals are comparable to the ones in Europe, we also have the similar life expectancy.

today's india can not achieve any one of these.

1998: There are 4 official networks serving approximately 1.175 million Internet uses.

WTF were you doing in 1997?

In 1999, the number of Internet users in China quadrupled to 9 million

Population of Shangai: The 2010 census revealed that the population of long-term residents in Shanghai had reached 22.21 million:cheesy:

india is looking more and more similar to China in the 1980s.

Not to hurt your feeling, Sir but China and India were basically at same development level in 1980 (Chinese PCI was actually lower). China had just started getting it's together (they started reforms in 1978). So if you are claiming that India now looks exactly like China of 1980, you might as well say that India is growing backwards:)

I was born in Shanghai, so far, there is no single photo here in this thread that is remotely comparable to the status of Shanghai in 1980s. have a look at the above "flyover" photos, we built the following in the early 1990s:

??????????????????????(?)

see the huge difference between today's india and China in early 1990s?

if you like, you can also have a look at the following wiki article:

so far, we have spent trillions of dollars building the express-way, over another 150 billion $$$ have been spent on the high speed rail. this widened our gap to well above 20 years.

Are you out of Mind or what?We too have been building flyovers from Decades ...... India was a richer nation that China in 1980s and early 1990s...thats a fact..but we were not very progressive at tht time so you strated building up things in 1990s while we started in early 2000s ... flyover don't determine development alone.
