India detains Pakistani soldiers
The army in Indian-administered Kashmir says it has briefly detained two Pakistani soldiers who inadvertently strayed over the Line of Control.
The pair were caught in the Pallanwala sector, 50km (31 miles) west of Jammu city, a military spokesman said.
The soldiers were returned as a goodwill gesture after a meeting between officers of two sides, he said.
Such incidents are extremely unusual along the heavily fortified dividing line between the two neighbours.
The two Pakistani soldiers crossed over to the Indian side on Wednesday evening and were handed back on Thursday afternoon.
Pakistan's military confirmed the incident and played down its significance.
Both India and Pakistan claim Kashmir in its entirety.
Two of their three wars since independence have been over the disputed region. A ceasefire has been observed since 2003.
