India can't participate in the NSG without a special exemption, which would be unfair to the already participating nations, because it (India) does not conform with the Guidelines and has not acceded to the NPT. Permanent membership of the UNSC is also unlikely because the G4 have been lobbying fruitlessly for that status for more than 2 decades.

India is or soon will be in the top 4 or top 5 - may it be population, economy, military strength, oil consumption, energy production, energy needs, nuclear power plants, markets etc in most parameters, so it doesn't really make sense to keep it away from any group it desires to be in.

In short, their economic relations with India are waaaaaay higher than with Pakistan. Does this mean they have

Since when did CPC start doing everything in people's interest? Most Chinese think India & China should jointly attack US.

Have Indians on this forum also become obsessed with China like the Pakistanis? Please talk on behalf of yourself and not on behalf of India. India is self-sufficient both economically and militarily. As far as investment is concerned, India is one of the prime FDI destinations in the world we don't need to court one country or another for investment, all major powers are already sending ministers and officials to India for better ties. It is China which came to us with the proposal of investment into infrastructure because we are now taking steps to curb the widening trade deficit and anti-dumping duties are now being imposed on Chinese imports. Also, India never involves third parties in bilateral issues. There is no space for China in South Asia or in the Indian Ocean because India is already here.

Back on topic, any foreign sat which will ever be used against India by any aggressor will be destroyed if India could destroy it, doesn't matter to which country that asset belongs. We must trust our officials when they claimed a long time back that we already have got building blocks for ASAT application.

Pakistan doesn't even have a satellite for India to target it..

theres actually a legit way to test it. india can say that they are destroying a malfunctioning satellite. just how
the US did successfully destroy a malfunctioning spy satellite in 2008 using a RIM0161 Standard Missile 3, an anti-ballistic missile with anti-satellite capabilities.
but still there would be some international consequences.

I suppose the US shot down a satellite when it was re-entering the atmosphere. It was test of their BMD, instead of ASAT, though there is not much technical difference between the two.

Not at all even if SUPARCO is given a budget which it anticipates even then it is not possible for it to design and develop a SLV in a year as you claim for it would have been so then they would have done it long before!

They already have, they have to built it, the work was done during Mush era, I don't know why you Indians think that Pakistan can not make any thing. Since Mush time Pakistan have created a pool of highly qualified people in Space Science and many are working in esteemed positions to get experience and when needed they will come back. Every thing is not available on net and it is not good to put everything on net.

It is true that Pakistan is behind in Space tech but it does not mean that we don't have human resources to do the job.

As a matter of fact you have a budget of around $75 million in 2010 - which was enough to start things off with! you could have developed your entire series of sounding rockets later embarking on to develop SLV's!

Sad thing is that SUPARCO is one of the most neglected organizations in Pakistan, politicians don't care about tech they want money so it does not mean money is available if approved.

Did I compare SUPARCO with your ISRO?? why you Indians just start comparing things when it is not even the topic?? I just posted what SUPARCO can do. Did I talk about sending mission on Moon or Mars?? Did I talked about sending Pakistani astronaut into space via our own systems?? No, because it is what we can't do now and not even interested in foreseeable future (it will be a miracle if we do that in next 10 years), but remote sensing and GPS like systems are priority of SUPARCO and they have been working on it since some time, but they are a neglected organization who get funds in limited numbers.

You really think that we will give a damn about "rest of the world" once a nuclear tipped missile is launched in our direction? Indian missile shield will guarantee that there will be nothing like "Mutual" in MAD. It will be far from a Mutual thing.
