Don't count on it friend. Will America give us a discount now?
The USA does have friends, clearly. The problem with USA-Pakistan friendship is that, for Pakistan, everything revolves around India. Pakistan calculates every dealing with the USA seeking some help in its war with India. The USA has to worry about China. India is a better ally wrt China than is Pakistan. So the USA has friends, but Pakistan is not able to be truly one of them because it feels it must always oppose India in every way possible. So, who would help Pakistan in a time of need vis a vis India? Probably only China.
Old habits die hard for the Indians. Thanks to TB2s, not an ideal moment to cross Putin....
India's two legs are on the USA and Russia with vectors in diametrically opposite directions, but her all senses and brains are dead fixed on Pakistan while China is about to crush a sledgehammer on her head...
The USA Pakistan rift happened long before USA considered China an enemy. Main issue, IMO, was that past Pakistani leaders were not focused on economic development and trade the way PMIK is today. The USA does have friends, clearly. Ironically, this is India's neutrality.Congratulations @Wood
You were saying India should end nuetrality and go all in - it seems this is a start of something
Hardly doubt that at all, India is least worried about J10C, but they're more focused on winning global media headlines after Balakot February 2019 failure. They're doing all types of strikes, submarine infiltration & now Brahmos missile to level up against Pakistan success during balakot. Now I am sure majority Indians feel they're ahead in being bad a$$ in military infrastructure against Pakistan after Brahmos fired deep inside our territory. Is India panicking because Pakistan has just acquired J-10C in response to IAF Rafale?
they are panicking because their super fast super untraceable brahmos was shot down.Is India panicking because Pakistan has just acquired J-10C in response to IAF Rafale?
India could've used that as leverage back when the US wasn't twisting its arm. In this case, I imagine the US threw threat-after-threat (e.g., FDI issues, trade issues, or even arming Pakistan) to get India to nix its deals with Russia. Will America give us a discount now?
What ever happened to indian PDF posters saying India will continue buying Russian weapons irrespective of USA pressure.
First sensible post in two pages. In US Senate mentioning cancelation of Mig 29s is just a lollipop to excuse India after S400 buy. Main deal is the S400, whether US sanctions India for it or not, is remain to be seen. But for now it is more looking like that they are ignoring this unlike with the case of turkey.
