India as a super power: Disturbing visuals

.
It reminds me of some of the scenes in a rather infamous documentary video from the mid 80s,Shocking Asia, which showed half rotting corpses floating down the ganges, while people bathed, seemingly oblivious, just a short distance away.
This was pretty shocking stuff back in the pre-internet days of the early to mid 1980s,tho the documentary supposedly dates back to the mid 70s.

. .
If that doesn't open Indians eyes then nothing will as they have failed to support their folks while they were alive and failed miserably to provide even dignified last rights. Fascist government must take full responsibility and must be buried alongside Ganges too and am sure there are other competent people in India. India and Indians Bollywood dream came down crashing but still nothing changed in Indian mentality. We are superpowa what a launat.

.
We shouldn't post some graphic visuals. Plus, idk why crew keeps filming, they should stop it.
Just, take dogs shots and say we are preventing dogs to come near to the dead body. It will deliver the message.

Thank God for Pakistan!

The UP state government changed the name of this city from Muslim-sounding Allahabad to the Hindu-sounding Prayagraj. That done, the government didn't bother to turn the city actually harmonious, a place where dogs wouldn't now be feeding on dead humans buried not that carefully by the river side.

As the tweet says, the government failed to protect the life of these humans and failed to provide dignity in death.

@INDIAPOSITIVE, am I right ?

It is a tragedy of epic proportions brought on by government incompetence . The Indian mind is entombed in the past myths and beliefs. Only a scientific outlook combined with true religious compassion can save the country. But it may take many more centuries to happen. India never stood much of a chance we had no option. The only option was to hope for patients to expire or suspend so generic drugs and vaccines could be manufactured by generic pharmas of which there are many in India alone. Till then tragic deaths and tears will continue.

.
Is this really because of covid or does this happen all the time because I’ve heard of floating corpses on the Ganges many times

Still coming up with the Hubris 'India is a super power'.

And that Pakistan is a failed state, and in many videos Indians comments are like 'don't compare India to Pakistan' compare it with China and USA...

And that India is a vaccine super power, and is a pharmacy of the world...truly indoctrinated beyond introspection, corrupted beyond redemption, not all but most of them.

Well, the Russian revolution was the inspirer for many a progressive mind in the world and formed an ideological and precedental basis for them to change their own country radically. Sad it didn't happen in India. But now I think two things will change India :

1. The current COVID situation which is certain to liberate some more minds from traditional irrational social and political choices. It was yesterday morning or today I watched on a news channel an old man in a village in Bihar complaining angrily about lack of medical facilities locally leading to COVID deaths and then asking is this what Modi meant when he called India the "Vishwaguru" ( Teacher of the world ). There will be some political change in the country.

2. By the mid-2030s the one or two settlements on Mars which will have people from everywhere including India. The information and A/Vs they send is sure to induce some more scientific temper in the people and the industry the whole enterprise will create will create some more changes.

Yeah, AFAIK, just in January this year Modi had declared on some international forum that India is not only vaccinating its own people efficiently but also helping other countries with India-made vaccines. But now, the state governments here left to float global tenders to individually purchase vaccines ( and maybe medicines ) from foreign governments / companies.

The recent unfolding of events only establishes our love for hyperbolism at one end and varied idea of nationalism on the other. Although it will be of relevance to explore what stops us from conceding to a contrary point of view . Political parties are the most brazen lot. We permit them to successfully survive chronic selective amnesia and allow them to live in a bubble of their own. And often, we offer them our company in their construed bubbles of sanity and righteousness. The political parties are mostly driven by the façade of an ideology which is self-serving, divisive and violent. The current crisis, observers say, has exposed the chinks in Mr Modi's armour. Modi put his name and his stamp on everything. So when something goes wrong he has to take the fall. You can't have it both ways . Our government looks like a hare frozen in the headlights.

As indian most of us have to understand
To accept one’s mistake is not to be weak, it is to be stronger.
Let’s all learn to say ‘sorry’ in our personal and public lives – Unfortunately we don't.

There was a time when we used to look towards India for democracy, secularism and passion toward science instead of dogma but it has changed drastically in recent years. While there are Indians who are constantly pointing towards this new fall brought by Modi and Co, there seems to be no matching political figure that can change things for good.

Well the truth is Modi is neither a Messiah nor a Maharishi and Modi is winning because congress is failing, congress should select a non Gandhi candidate, bring structural reforms or public will look for another option against bjp if they continue performing badly on key fronts, the people should realise their power and do not fall victim, politic parties are like diaper they need to be replaced when get dirty, absolute power corrupts.
the sane ones in the bjp are all dead. sushma swaraj, arun jailtey, pramod mahajan. all we are left with is the fanatics.

As the saying goes -- A nation is not a swathe of territory of cluster of institutions. It is the people who make the country great. They must have self respect in the first place.
