حکومتیں کفر کے سہارے تو قائم رہ سکتی ہیں پر ظلم کے
سہارے نہیں۔

Well the truth is Modi is neither a Messiah nor a Maharishi and Modi is winning because congress is failing, congress should select a non Gandhi candidate, bring structural reforms or public will look for another option against bjp if they continue performing badly on key fronts, the people should realise their power and do not fall victim, politic parties are like diaper they need to be replaced when get dirty, absolute power corrupts.
the sane ones in the bjp are all dead. sushma swaraj, arun jailtey, pramod mahajan. all we are left with is the fanatics.
As the saying goes -- A nation is not a swathe of territory of cluster of institutions. It is the people who make the country great. They must have self respect in the first place.
Nothing will change. Masses have poor memory. People forget everything by next elections. Modi and gang will do a stunt right before 2024 election and come back with thumping majority. Godi media destroyed whatever logic and reasoning people had.It is a tragedy of epic proportions brought on by government incompetence . The Indian mind is entombed in the past myths and beliefs. Only a scientific outlook combined with true religious compassion can save the country. But it may take many more centuries to happen. India never stood much of a chance we had no option. The only option was to hope for patients to expire or suspend so generic drugs and vaccines could be manufactured by generic pharmas of which there are many in India alone. Till then tragic deaths and tears will continue.
Why ?
Indian communism, on sharp contrary lacked any kind of genuine communist leadership. There were some leaders with borrowed ideas and tactics from either locally or from their counterparts in Russia or China. There was not a single leader with original Indian model of communism as in case of Mao for China, Castro for Cuba or Lenin for Russia. For instance Charu Majumdar, perhaps the most significant communist leader, had in particular idolised Mao’s vision and tactics, but he failed to replicate the successful nature of Mao’s revolution.
Communism in India was always a failed experiment, a gangrenous dogma suffering slow death.
Communist states all over the world held a set of rules which was fundamentally opposite of Indian social hierarchy and undertakings. History tells us no ideology or dogma has ever been successful in flourishing in India, if it failed to resonate with the common masses.
Please read the rest of the thread. And how many Indians know this ? This non-recognition of early Indian leftists by modern Indian communists has also contributed to, ironically, right-wing cranks forming thug groups that claim to follow Bhagat. And to lot of the commoners not identifying with the Indian communists.I will conclude with the last moments of Bhagat Singh’s life, as reported by his close associate Manmathnath Gupta, he writes:
“When called upon to mount the scaffold, Bhagat Singh was reading a book by Lenin or on Lenin. He continued his reading and said, ‘Wait a while. A revolutionary is talking to another revolutionary’. Bhagat Singh continued to read. After a few moments, he flung the book towards the ceiling and said, ‘Let us go’.” [Emphasis added]
Hmm....it seems Modi is not as popular to Indian members on here as I thought ? However, it seems to me that he's more popular in India itself especially with the Hindus (since he represents more their religious interests which transcends economics/well being). However, from.my observation it seems he is becoming a polarising figure in the country which doesn't bode well for the nation . So remains to be seen how things will play out in future or if he will be reelected by a wide margin or not.Nothing will change. Masses have poor memory. People forget everything by next elections. Modi and gang will do a stunt right before 2024 election and come back with thumping majority. Godi media destroyed whatever logic and reasoning people had.
I generally agree and from what I can judge and what little I know of the Naxal movement, Majumdar should have publicized his movement in the urban areas. Many of the current urban Indians seem to be irrationally and unknowingly hateful of the Naxalites. These Urban Indians seem fine with at least a million farmer suicides since 1947 which were caused by India's extremely capitalist socio-economic system.
It didn't help matters that a even centrist party like the Congress had its PM declare the Naxals to be India's biggest internal problem and other Congress people created a vicious militia to counter the Naxals other than deploy a lot of government forces for it.
For one thing among others Communism in India has served to create a platform for oppressed workers whether these workers acknowledge it or not, through existence of employee / workers unions. For example, my late father was a member of his bank's pensioners association and the late head of the association was called "Comrade" in the obituary and that word of course was borrowed from communist activism.
Yes, I think Indian communists failed in being ambitious in attaining government power during the two first decades after independence. They splintered. They failed in promoting Indian leftist icons like Bhagat Singh who was a socialist or communist till the moment he was hanged. I quote from my thread :
I think its common practice among Hindus, they drop the deads into the Ganga river and ............... well don't want to discuss any further. Is this really because of covid or does this happen all the time because I’ve heard of floating corpses on the Ganges many times
the Problem in india is Communist parties branches , I mean independent branches and their association with Naxalism. which is a big no from my side time and agian we know that volience will not achive anything . as we all know Naxalism originated as a rebellion against lack of development and poverty at the local level in the rural parts of eastern India. The Naxals are considered far left radical communists who support Maoist political ideology. Their origin can be traced to the split that took place in the Communist Party of India Marxist in 1967. It led to the formation of Communist Party of India Marxist and Leninist. Initially the movement had its centre in West Bengal. Thereafter, it spread into less developed areas of rural central and eastern India, such as, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh through the activities of underground groups like the Communist Party of India Maoist. while the Naxalite movement thrives on the original spirit of Naxalbari where as the the Maoist struggle is an outcome of the 1967 uprising.
there are two fundamental differences between the Naxalites and Communists. While regular communists take part in elections and many of them are registered parties with the Election Commission of India, Naxalites do not support the elections at all. Also, the Naxalites have an armed wing, but the existence of the Maoists/communists depend on their armed militia. Naxalites is use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims. unfortunately Naxalites believe in Maoism and practice volience which is equlant to terrorism.
So for a start if the communist party wants to regain a foot hold they need to disband Naxalism which server no purpose in modern world and need to restructure as a political party similar to AAP for a start then go from there
The Columbian president even got a Nobel Peace Prize in 2016 for beginning dialogue that year. Though later :On 27 June 2017, FARC ceased to be an armed group, disarming itself and handing over its weapons to the United Nations. One month later, FARC announced its reformation as a legal political party, the Common Alternative Revolutionary Force,
A small faction of FARC leaders announced a return to armed activity on 29 August 2019, stating that the Colombian government did not respect peace agreements, a position Colombian officials disagreed with. The Colombian government responded with offensive strikes, killing FARC members planning to lead rearmament activities
