Most of your post is a good summation but can we really call the Naxals as terrorists like Al Qaeda and Sanatan Sanstha ? The Naxals see armed guerrilla action as their way of inciting revolutionary and progressive thought among the public. My belief is that the Supreme Court should have dialogue with the Naxals in the same manner that the Columbian government had ( temporary ) dialogue with the FARC movement which also like the Naxals is a leftist guerrilla movement that started in the 60s.

Abduct for ransoms, carry out kangaroo-court executions , extortion for money is similar to what some terror groups are doing . If you are fighting for a good cause one should not indulge in such activities because such action will only make you unpopular and your cause is lost. blowing up public property like bus stations , train stations Roads will only cause misery to local folks not the ultra rich or politicians. Naxilism is relied more on violence now a days than a proper ideology , such actions itself is defeating the purpose of fighting to improve the life of common man. at the end of the day any armed group is a big no for me , because noting productive will come out of it.
