BTW I hope you realize that there was no India and Pakistan back then, and the entire subcontinent was called India. Hence, most of the parts of "India" that was ruled by Muslims for 1000 years were modern-day Pakistan. Muslim rule in modern India was mostly limited to northern and Western India, and that two for at most five centuries. no its not true roughly 18-20 Percent of Pakistan is ethnically Pashtun, not counting people who dont speak Pashtu anymore or Muhajirs who claim ancestry but not speak language . But all native Pakistani groups drive lot of their ancestry from same ancient sources(Swat ,BMAC) but it is also true for Indians who are similar to Pakistanis(jatts, khatris, gujjers and other North West Indians)

Census in Pakistan works along linguistic lines , it is not the most accurate way to calculate ethnicity but it is easiest and simplest.
There are many Pashtuns, Balochs and Kashmiris that are counted as Seraiki and Punjabis because they settled in Punjab and adopted Punjabi/Seraiki as language. Similarly there are Sindhis in Balochistan that speak Balochi now. There are lot of elite Indian Muslims migrated to Pakistan on partition and claim exotic/foreign ancestries but they all counted as Urdu speaker and make roughly 7% of Population. Simalarly Hindkos are mixture of Pashtuns and Punjabis who speak a new language now.

It was not me but your guy who i quoted said that "Almost all Pakistani have Pathan blood in them". Yes I agree we are the son of the soil and have similarities with our Northern brothers but it is your people who deny it and hate anything Non-Muslim.

Fascinating... will check out when I have time. But It is pretty fair to say that there is a strong overlap between the Western part of India and Punjab and Sindh, just like there is an overlap between KP and Afghanistan and Balochistan and Iran, as well as Eastern India and Bangladesh. Just like in the EU, borders tend to be very fluid in South Asia in terms of culture and ethnicity.
