What's new

In response to letter of HRW to PM Imran, Dr Mazari writes back to US based HRW organization.

Call it whatever, can you deny the facts?

Still jew-baiting.

Pakistanis who continue to suffer because coercive forces insist upon diverting attention to castigating Israel are therefore faced with the choices of continuing to suffer, emigrating, or revolting against an authority that disses them and their needs.

I suppose this counts as "America-baiting".

Human rights is a global issue and not an individual issue and Mazari is doing 100% perfect job on taking on the genocide of Muslims in Israel. I never said the word "Jew" in my post but I am referring to an organisation of Israel.

As pointed out many, many times, Pakistani students are, by design and intent of their government, compelled to accept an anti-Israel narrative regardless of the facts and their context. So it isn't a question of whether I can deny facts but whether you can accept them: https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/prove-that-earth-is-a-globe-or-flat.574690/

...taking on the genocide of Muslims in Israel -

“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert.”

Why shouldn't Pakistan's abused and dispossessed decide to simply start shooting rather than continuing to feed upon such self-serving lies and excuses from Pakistani officials? For them, the Mazari letter is shaping up as yet another election let-down - another reason why it shouldn't have been sent at all.

Will Imran Khan be given a chance to actually make policy or will he continue to be pushed into it by entrenched and corrupt interests? Or has he already decided to serve corrupt interests himself? Time will tell, perhaps.

You are so wrong. That the problem you know nothing about Pakistani people and their mindset but keep harping the same shit propaganda that your government sponsored news channels feed you. Pakistani stance on Israel (not Jews) is based on a principal. Israel was formed on occupied territory that is why we do not recognize Israel. Again Israel is not the same as Jews, in fact in religious terms Muslims consider both Jews and Christians (only those who believe in ONE GOD) as fellow people of the book.

I agree with what you wrote here but I don't think that's what you meant! "Principal" is a person. "Principle" is an idea.

Israel was formed on occupied territory that is why we do not recognize Israel.
As pointed out - and you haven't contested - this isn't something you're in a position to debate, only assert.

@django @Starlord that's little tabdeli, Dr. Mazeri should have to get the foreign office ministery post, not Qureshi this useless idiot!
First and foremost a superb rebuttal to these hypocrites who never bat an eyelid to all the vast human rights abuses perpetrated by the IDF in the occupied territories and indeed she would have made a fine foreign minister or defence minster, she knows defence policy and international relations like the back of her hand.Kudos bro

Even if the IDF smear was taken at face value it is a very poor rebuttal, as it fails to address the issue of the defendant's own misconduct. Wouldn't have any credibility in a proper court of law.

That you are attempting to defend Pakistan this way - that's your fault. Why do it? Do you think Allah will forgive you? Is it herd loyalty to the State?

@Zibago @BHarwana @war&peace @Indus Pakistan must read this finally a good reply from Pak government after age's.
Excellent Dr, Sahiba. Now looks like we have a Govt and Ministries know what and how to respond to International propaganda.

.
LOL! When Hugo Chavez started his rule in Venezeuala the people were praising him just like the pdf Pakistanis.

.
It can only be considered "a good response" if Imran Khan's government plans on not fulfilling its election promises, taking no concrete steps to improve the lot of Pakistan's women and minorities. The Mazari letter contains numerous escape clauses from doing so.
I think you missed the first paragraph bro

Sadly, no. The minister cites the Constitution, yes, but then invokes "the need to bring our national laws in alignment with our international legal commitments through the international treaties we have ratified." That's a recipe for delay at best (no time commitment is given) and evisceration of human rights in Pakistan at worst (because it leaves open the door to non-enforcement of human rights due to any complication between treaties or laws).

That the worst interpretation is what the reader is led to expect is supported by the last part of the letter, which essentially claims HRW has no credibility to discuss Pakistan as long as human rights violations are alleged in other parts of the world.

. .
She may not look like the part but she really is a nationalist
Yes - in a bad way. Because if every human rights official on Earth wrote the letter she did, then no nation could be held accountable by others for human rights violations.

Why Solomon why do you always have to butt in like this? How much does ADL pay for your position?
