I don't know if you are mixing religious beliefs with "hindutva" but no scripture in Sanatan Dharma / Hinduism even mentions Islam/ Christianity or any other religion.. Hindutva as a political narrative is completely different and many Hindus don't necessarily subscribe to that.
This narrative being sold is in line with "identification" of Hindus in other religions.
Sanatan Dharma is not a Organised religion, religious practices differ every 50 km, we never had a head/headquarters as a religion.

He comes from a belief system that is fundamentally based on Negation of others practices, values and beliefs.
So he would naturally assume the same for every other religion he encounters.
