I think the US will have legitimate security concerns regarding India in the next few years as the rise of China becomes an undisputed, irreversible fact. The US will then set sights on limiting its other potential competitors including India, the other nation with potential to overtake the US.

No the truth is after the BDR killed a BSF soldier we bumped of the BDR officer and his family too when BNP was in power and you were able to do zilch about it.Talk about martialness

In 1857 it was the Bengal province which was one of the main centres of the revolt -- Barrackpore and the case of Mangal Pandey comes to the forefront .

It was due to this incident that the British who would principally recruit from "upper caste Brahmins" and muslims in the Bengal region( comprised then of undivided Bengal, Bihar , Orissa and part of Assam ) British researchers of the "debunked" martial race theory , began to stop recruiting from these regions and instead give designations of martial races to the ethnic groups which remain loyal during the revolt --like Sikhs , etc and recruit heavily from them instead.

It was also after 1857 , that systematic victimization of Muslims started and deprivation of opportunities in Government jobs etc.

In Later years ( 1900's ) this was reversed whereby Muslims were patronized and Hindus were ignored in keeping with their Divide-and-Rule strategy.
