India has no chance against Vietnam. 1000 years occupation have instilled into them Viets a discipline and work ethic similar to those exhibited by the East Asian tigers.

Vietnam has to choose between China and India model. The outcome will be accordingly. As you say, 1000 years of cultural education may have instilled in VN the perfect work ethic and pragmatism that (North) East Asians genetically have.

But, if them Vietnamese (government) instead goes for shortsighted policies and adopt Indian model, they will be doomed.

No worries. We are fearless but not dumb. it won’t be a repeat of CN vs VN encounter because people are bored have to see the same move over and over again. It will rather be CN vs America, CN vs Japan, CN vs France, CN vs ...
