thats sounds fine. but how does cheaper higher performing jet .
When everything is factored in, upgraded F-16s are likely to be less expensive and more potent than J-10s. There are three factors that sway in J-10s favour, availability of used F-16s, prohibition/ dependence on US for custom local/ chinese specialist (long range weapons) and fear of sanctions during conflict.
However Su-35 is a superior aircraft to F-16 but then again it has too many ifs and buts attached to it. I tend to agree with what @araz said about this probable deal. Most likely PAF will not agree to buy Su-35.
I don't think Pakistan will ever get sanctioned, unless something big happened in terms of some terrorism crap and the gov't or the military of Pakistan is found to be directly involved at some level. Which, I don't foresee happening as there is a democratic system in place and both, the civilians and the military are too focused on combating and removing terrorism out of Pakistan.
Once the system starts to produce what its suppose to, a LOT of stuff will change, people, social life, income levels, all will change. Resulting in total removal of these extremist views as no one would hear them, would need them or want them. Everyone would be busy pursuing a better lifestyle and good stuff that comes with life, like it is in bigger cities already.
I agree. Pakistan is not likely to be sanctioned however a greater threat comes from the balancing act US has to play in region vis-a-vis it's two allies. In an effort to not upset India, US will not clear weapons as freely as it use to. Only exception may be if ISIS gets traction in the region and sends US scrambling to strengthen Pak security forces. They will veto Indian concerns in that case, in my opinion.
