I don't understand what is the need to ask a question ever now and then which has been discussed to death and has bring in useless trolls and junk to pollute the forum.
Did respectable member is not be able to find enough information in Current JF-17 threads to satisfy their quench of knowledge regarding these 2 platform comparisons and regarding their vary question which has been discussed to many times and been answered by seniors and well connected.
Mods kindly be advised in this regards @Oscar and others.

I've reached some conclusionafter reading a little bit about the jf17. This plane need few things to be on par with some heavier one first payload if the manufacturer increase it to a little bit more than five ton that will adequate also a better engine with higher thrust for better performance otherwise the electronic suite not bad at all considering the amount of money located to it. This plane can be a great bomb truck with enough a2a capability. We may see these two resolved in the block 3 if the PIF want it.

Yes I have this question for a time if the JF-17 as good as the F-16 why China never inducted?.

* It was never designed as an equal to the F-16 but after Gripen-C. JF-17 was designed as an affordable replacement for PAF's ageing fleet of Mirage-III/V, A-5 and F-7P/PGs.

JF-17 block II and even block III will be nowhere close to F-16 block 52 !! not in radar performance, and not in combat range, and not in weapons load, not in electronic warfare capabilities, and not in weapons quality !! the F-16 block 52 has the APG-68V9 radar with a range of 300km and it's impossible to jam, even Rafale couldn't jam it with it's SPECTRA !

While the poor JF-17 radar has a range of nearly 130km ! it can detect F-16 from a range of about 40-50 km , and F-16 can detect JF-17 from a range of more than 120km !

And the Chinese air to air missiles performance sucks compared to AIM-120 or even AIM-7 Sparrow ! simply >

F-16 radar can track 5m^2 object around 105 km only. JF-17 can do it in 130 km.

Yeah and i know Pakistan has the F-16 block 52 , it's just superior, radar, electronic warfare suite, and very small RCS. Comparing it to JF-17 block 99999 is just humiliation to the F-16 !!

So you mean to say that all PAF + CAC are idiot to invest on this project (JF17). When west stop thinking that they are only one who can think?. For your info JF17 is currently equivalent to F16-block 30/40 with the price tag of 15-18m each. You will block 2 with advance radar of KLJ-7 v2 and many other goodies.

See if only if they make it a little bigger with bigger engine and payload that lead to a bigger antenna then it will be the work horse of the PAF like the mirage 2k but that still if by the way just like the Russian gave the rd-33 they can deliver the al31 its more than adequate for the bigger JF-17. It's if alas.

Last December the news came out that 5 Block-II will be handed over to PAF by the PAC by the end of Jan 2015. No sign yet.
