It's funny that, Indians are a huge percentage of IT industry, but their contribution to research and new ideas, is ZERO. India, never devised any new programming language, or any operating system, new architectural paradigms or algorithms. Indian IT industry is all about low-skilled service sector, BPO, back offices and a large pool of internet coolies.

BTW world IT industry is worth close to 4000 billion USD worldwide, India share is a good 200 billion USD, so not an IT super power as we tend to read the comments by Indians and that Indians make about 40% of Microsoft, and that US IT will collapse if not for Indians.

And that 40% of NASA are Indians...again fake news.

Lots of chest thumping, bragging is fed to India by the Indian English language media and poor Indians started to believe and brag about it.

Sure mention cheap labour but don't mention skill required. They don't go as much to Pakistan because labour laws are very strict with high per capita income which such companies cannot afford right?

Not only that. I squarely blame Pakistan's past governments, they didn't do any planning to boost this sector.
That planning also includes, production of sufficient graduates and trained professionals in each field of IT. Programmers, Databases, Web developers, networks engineers, Server Engineers and other support staff were not trained in sufficient and marketable quantity.

It is only recently PTI has started to pay attention to it. Thus, significant increase in Pakistani exports.

India has created a vast cheap force for call centre operations, which the world companies are tapping in to in thousands. They are not skilled staff, but trained to take customers calls. That's all. That is the majority, far exceeding the true professional and skilled workforce.

Your claim isn't factually accurate and your logic behind the claim is fundamentally flawed.
US's R&D operates on East Asian(majority Chinese) brain drain,350K Chinese are doing R&D in silicon valley,peking ,Tsinghua, graduates are carrying the bulwark of R& D in US too ,not just China's.
Without Chinese students US will fall 20 years behind in a blink.US's innovation engine is Chinese immigrants & Chinese Americans and tech/talent poaching from China. It's all about east Asians and some Europeans;natural selection.

None are even close to replacement the quality and quantity of Chinese .Google/AMAZON are banned in China but they have R&D centres in Beijing ,Shanghai and many other places.Microsoft's Asia Headquarter is in Beijing.
They also have R&D centre in Korea ,Japan etc. But the public and the gov don't even want them,for they offer much less incentives and causes technological thief and braindrain,and Samsung and other local conglomerates offers much better pay and other perks to locals.
