Interesting thread, decided to join in.
It's amusing to see people who
have never bothered to read the Quran or the Ahadith acting as the final authority on the subject and giving their verdict about something they can hardly grasp.
To respond to certain replies.
1) The Quran and Hadith Go hand in hand.
2) There is mention of the return of Hz Isa (Jesus son of Mary) in the Quran.
3) There is mention of the Arrival of Imam Mehdi in the Hadith
4) Both Imam Mahdi and Hz Isa come at the same period in the end of times in immediate succession.
5) Those who choose to reject the Ahadith completely still cannot deny the mention of the return of Hz Isa as the Messiah in the Quran. And if the return of the Messiah is true then the Mahdi also follows.
6) even if there is only the figure of Hz Isa to emerge in the end times. The main theme of victory of Truth over Falsehood still holds true

There's going to be a major fitnah soon, extreme dispute due to distancing ourselves from Islam. Saudi Arabia won't look the same,others will try taking advantage of the situation. Some selfish and some distressed groups will take to the Kaaba to reveal their Mahdi, hardly any of them will make it out alive. The Mujahideen of darker skin color will neglect their higher ups .... We're going to start again from where we begun ... it's real .... But no one will believe until they see it for themselves.

My answer is the present climate would make it very difficult to know if he is here or not
The present age wars have tarnished the spirit of Self defense

I would have difficulty to know if the person is 100% honest or not
These days anyone who is anyone claims to be perfect human


There are many other events that need to happen .....prior

• Essa (Jesus) (Similar concept in Christianity)
• Djal (One Eyed beast)
• Beast from Ground (Similar mention in Christianity but they have 3 creatures)
• Global War Total Anarchy
• Ethopia / Egypt war over water

However the one thing Muslims can control is do good deeds to other humans , and keep doing good

The amount of killing and violence I have seen in last 5-10 years is already more then enough for a life time

I think it would be pretty easy to tell who is dishonest or a fake Mahdi. Every community has some of them. In the arab world there are groups of people who insinuate someone within their group is the Mahdi. It's very obvious most of the time they are doing it for money/power and that they are not able to bring real change in any way. And they also make hundreds of videos/commentaries trying to convince people so and so is the Mahdi. As far as ahadeeth goes, the Mahdi won't be known prior to the bayah in Mecca between the Rukn and Maqaam. But others will know him or something will happen that gives a clear sign it is him. And he won't be asking for it, on contrary it said it will be strongly against it. Either narrative in the ahadeeths, I think we will know the real one as the real one when the time comes. And its okay to not be sure in the beginning stages.

As for the other signs you mentioned , those are major signs that come after the Mahdi.

Fake ones are easy to recognize, majority of the time they try persuading people to follow them for years. Real one will not be known to anyone except in Mecca at the Kaaba when scholars will find him and press him to accept leadership. Also there will be an dispatchment of battalion from 'Sham' region that will be swallowed by earth on their way to Mecca, among other signs.



Salam, I'm not entirely sure on 'fard' but I believe scholars suggest it is and some ahadeeth point to so. He is not savior or messiah. Allah will help him restore Islam in Muslim world right before final major signs. To be honest it is probably Allah proving to mankind how he can change conditions on earth and raise a righteous peoples out of a time where it seems impossible.

Basically once it becomes apparent that the scholars and Ummah agreed on him, and the conditions were met. At that point we have to follow. If we just decide not to for rest of our lives even thought conditions are met then yeah it becomes a problem there.



I don't think Bukhari, but possibly Muslim. There are other hadeeths and scholars have agreed on it's 'tawatur' and agreed it is real and will happen. Some older famous scholars and modern ones, like Ibn Baaz and Albani have suggested so as well.




Is the Mahdi real or not?

The ahaadeeth concerning the appearance of the Mahdi reach the level of Tawaatur in meaning (tawaatur refers to a hadeeth which was narrated by so many people through so many isnaads that it is inconceivable that they could all have agreed on a lie). The imaams and scholars of this ummah have stated this, and a few of their comments are quoted below:

You should be aware that some liars have fabricated ahaadeeth about the Mahdi, and others have even claimed to be he, or that he belongs to a group other than Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamaaah. Frankly there will be no mahdi ... we have been waiting centuries nothing to show for except for hate and further hate against people etc.

I believe it is a test on people to see if they will forge as a better being at the end which is not likely.

I left the UK in 2015 and have moved to Pakistan for a few years to give my children a different way of life.

You are welcome to this sort of education because as the Arabs say what you seek is seeking you.

Not everyone wants to end up like these gore so please let the burkha clad sisters live their life according to Quran and sunnah whilst you waste your life in these flimsy isms.
