IDP Resettlement Watch | Updates & Discussions

Scorching sun of June month in Baka khel, with no electricity....its no surprise that IDPs are not going there. IDP families should be adjusted in governament schools of bannu and lakki marwat, as there would be vacations now.
Musalmaniat and pashto is still strong, khair dey wi da bannu khalko ta, noro sobo walo kho khapalay darwazay bund karray di.
@TaimiKhan

Yes its true,bannu is facing severe Loadshedding.In city atleast one can adjust but on the village side,the situation is more than worse

I have not been to baka khel from the past couple of months.But the in surrani and beyond upto mirali.only 3hrs electricity in 24hrs(From 8Am-9am,from 2pm-3pm and from 11pm to 12AM),I am sure the situation will be similar in baka khel

Nah man, i am not talking about villages of baka khel with load sheddings..... IDP camp has no electricity to begin with, it is set up in empty 'loga' (wirana). Also no water supply. Do pay a visit to camp , if you can, and report us about the ground situation. You know that in our areas people die from sunstroke in june. If IDPs are adjusted in schools of villages and towns in bannu and other districts, then local population could be conveniently helpful.
I dont understand the logic behind setting up IDP camp in tribal area of FR, it should have been in the settled area.

Good to know that they increased it from Rs 7k to Rs 12k.Not enough but still a Good considering that minimum wage in Pakistan today is only 12k.

Looking for any agency for donation.

Beside this foriegn assistance is rejected.Pakistani Govt and Pakistanis themselves will take care of the IDP's

Money is for every IDP or only those who move to camps?

From what i have heard, the place at baka khel ,where IDP camp is established, is a desert notorious for scorpians and snakes. There is not even water availability there. @farhan_9909, can you confirm this?

Extremely similar to let say Pezu in Lakki marwat.Water is available but not every household has bore as people over there are not rich and ocassional water supply cuts from the govt supplied water line which they open for 2 or 3 times a day.

They should have rather opted for the region around bannu township.Domail also would had been a better choice though security threats.even in surrani they would have found alot of space for camps close to kachuzai,hasni town.
