What's new

Pakistan marks two years since start of Operation Zarb-e-Azb

You have been brainwashed to a level where you have no respect for humans let alone human right.
Every one can see it's the U.S. and Israel that are the tolerant and accepting societies that are built upon human rights, whereas Pakistan drives its minorities out or kills them, creating great anger. "The fear of repercussions or perhaps isolation from your society is what is causing all of this."

Perhaps you do believe in everything I've been writing after all. If so, you're going to have to find the courage to change your mind. Does that means you will be a martyr? Be a Taseer and try to change things minimally and quietly, then, until someone kills you? Or go whole hog and aggressively pursue the intolerant criminal bastards, knowing that if you're killed you at least fought the good fight?

Human rights as long as their own citizen are involved. Would like me to post the news or pics of how tolerant ISreal is to palestinians ? since gaza siege ? or how tolerant US when it bombs the shit out of an another country.

Is that all you had to share?
Post reported for abusing fellow member @Oscar

So now your reporting me for calling you out on clearly racist views, and getting a mod involved so I get in more trouble?

US and Israel tolerant? :omghaha:

On a more serious note, yes we have problems with minorities here, but so does your beloved Israel, America, our neighbours India and Afghanistan, and most countries around the world.

Two years of operation Zarb E Fail...Terrorism starts from heart and mind..when mullahs like Orya Maqbool and Hamdallah are still dominating TV shows..the operation is just a joke...

You are wasting your time with him bro. As soon as you present a good argument, that does not go to Israel's favor, the dude stops responding, only to come back again with the same "human rights, democracy" and those glorious words, which in all practicality are thrown to the gutter by USA or Israel day in day out.

Yes every country has right to defend herself, but the bigotry of these countries is beyond description!

Now just imagine this: John Kerry lecturing Russia with a very straight and serious face " in twenty first century, you just do not go around and invade other countries on false pretexts" something like that.

Show you what kind of bigots these countries are!

Its true though, but you know what is more fun ? Itnis the fact that they choose to ignore and dodge the real question, its like making them eating their own shit of words they use

Can we safely assume that FATA is cleared from terrorists? Now, only intelligence and combing operations are occuring and all kinetic operation has stopped?

Zarb-e-Azb has brought TANGIBLE results. The fight will continue.

It's good for Pakistan and it's a good revenge against the terrorist scum both foreign and domestic, including those who massacred 150 school children and staff in Peshawar, something that should never be forgotten and never forgiven

Two years ago the Pakistani military took a difficult but essential decision to engage in a full-scale operation against the home-grown insurgency attacking innocent Pakistanis, and even children. The Army Public School massacre further proved how little they valued the life of innocent children, or their fellow countrymen. Throughout history, we have witnessed, that insurgency warfare is one of the most difficult types of warfare to engage in. What we can aim for however, is the dismantling and disabling of the threat to a degree where it becomes incapable of reviving and reorganizing. In these past two years, the Pakistani military has seen tremendous success in dismantling, curbing and curtailing the insurgency on their soil. They have also sacrificed many of their own. The issue of home-grown terrorism is an issue for us all to deal with. You have been aware of the attacks here and in France, Belgium, as we have seen the attacks on Pakistani soil. This plague of violent extremism is what we all have to dismantle and destroy, not just by force, but by eliminating their violent and intolerant narrative.

As President Obama has stated before, “Ideologies are not defeated with guns. They’re defeated by better ideas—a more attractive, more compelling vision.” This is the larger battle, and one that the entire international community has to face in the long term. We have to, collectively, provide people with the better narrative - one that would help those who are brainwashed by violent ideologies to choose education, progress and prosperity over destruction of entire societies.

the question remains - despite a mighty NATO presence in Afghanistan why has Afghanistan failed to safeguard ITS part of the border and fulfill its obligations as a nation-state?

why the duplicity on 2 fronts

1.) Zarb e Azb commenced and the Afghans allowed the terrorists breathing room

2.) The government (of Kabul) complained about Pakistan's interference and not stopping of militants but then cries foul when Pakistan puts in place stricter border enforcement measures and stoops so low (and stabs itself in the foot) by firing on the positions of our troops manning the posts?

Pakistan needs to make it clear to the NATO alliance that as they are primarily still by and large responsible for the security or security-upkeep of Afghanistan - they are as accountable as the poorly disciplined ANA forces are.

There are 2 critical yet very basic points/questions

.
nothing achive terrorists are roaming around killing innocents nation is scared . only military have benefited with more funds

.
Congrats to the soldiers and Army for a strong operation against Terrorism recent wave of resurgence is an indication how desperate the other party has become

Hopefully Pakistan can stomp out the remaining bugs

.
we have brought peace by force not by changing the ideologies. Many of us still believe that TTP is right and what has happend in Pakistan. it was all done by the army itself. The people dying in bomb blasts in Hospitals, schools, Mosques and at roads are killed by the army.
The Pakistan's defence Budget is the lowest defence bugdet in the world and is very very low as compared to the challenges facing Pakistan. Therefore Pakistan rely on the foreign aids due to which the army do their jobs too and fulfil their objectives. so instead of building its economy and defence infrastructure , why would army spent millions on the operations to kill its own soldiers, people and destroy its own country infrastructure?
The Pakistan Army has launched many operations since 2001. Pakistan have faced huge economic losses due to the operations. Many operations were unsuccesful in which hundereds of soldiers sacrificed their lives but they could not make the operations successfull besides soldiers thousands of civillians lost their lives.
Every bullet and mortar fired, the fighter planes droping bombs and missiles at terrorist hideouts in operation has a price. The vehicle moves at the field consumes oil and the oil has a price too.
secondly, Pakistan is facing existential threats. India is sitting ready and is in search of opportunity to ran its troops over Pakistani terroitry. The Indian defence budget is equall to the entire Pakistan's fiscal year budget. Their traditional weapons are far better than those with our Army. They are buying advance warfare weapons to make their army better than both Pakistan's and china's. Recently they built aircraft carrier while we have no aircraft carrier. And for building an aircraf carrier we need huge amount of money which our economy can not afford.
India has built anti ballistic missile defence system. which will destroy any kind of ballistic missile in the air before reaching to the target.
India has a plan to build command and controll centre in space for its military. while we are engaged in our internal problems.
Instead of spenting on mortars, bullets , vehicles, missiles to kill its own people. would'nt the Pakistan Army like to make aircraft carrier , which is modern warfare need , or to buy stealth fighter planes, nuclear submarines , enemy missile interceptor system and modern day Radars to counter India's aggressive ambitions?
The little peace we are seeing today is all due to use of force by the Army.We have not brought peace in the country by changing the ideologies of the people. The love and support for outfits like TTP still exists and the reason they give for it is - that the Army is bombing the hospitals and schools to kill its own people. we need to work on changing the mindset of the people to bring lasting peace in our country other wise all the efforts and sacrifices made by the army and the people displaced will go in vain.

Despite what the liberal class may want to believe or may want others to believe, the operation was a success with terrorism going down at a massive rate with FATA, once a no go area being cleared however, as it was discussed before, the victory of this war was never on the battle front but on the domain of civilian govt with reforms in FATA and development so that nobody would ever have a reason to pick up arms.

As much as it would burn some, the army is doing its job. They have successfully done the operation and are building border controls. The spotlight and line light lies on the federal and provincial govt however the federal is avoiding the issues and the provincial govt just gifted 300 mil to a madrassah while police of various provinces look extremely weak and lackluster.

As for those that are calling it a failure or an operation for the money, first you beg for an operation against terrorists and then after it happens and it becomes a success you pout saying it was for the money.

Does the civilian govt hold no responsibility? The police structure must be strengthened and the madrassahs must be brought under state control with state sponsored curriculum. The state is so weak that they can't even take action against Abdul Aziz at Islamabad and the courts are so weak that military courts had to be established to provide punishments. Are these not the responsibility of civilian elected govts? What are they doing to combat terrorism and root out terrorism?

The thing is there are some that truly want to see the army fail and the operation to fail just to satisfy themselves and their own burning hatred against the institution.

What operation man?

Look at karachi its still same mugging killings corruption everything exctly like it used to be...most of you guys are not from Karachi you have no idea how bad and frustrating it is here!

Was the operation only against taliban no sir it wast it was against all the bastard who have looted this country...i respect army i am a patriotic Pakistani but i think army is too scared to take action against leaders of political party and there corruption!
