Kfir Block 60 : Upgraded version of the C.10, The main feature of this variant is the use of AESA radar, proposed to the Bulgarian Air Force and Colombian Air Force. As of January 2014 Argentina is reported to be interested in a US$500m deal for eighteen Block 60 to replace its planned acquisition of second-hand Mirage F1M from Spain
Industry sources claim IAI will "soon" receive an order for the Argentine Air Force for Kfir Block 60s

As the latest upgrade of the Israeli-made fighter, the new configuration involves giving the General Electric J79-powered aircraft a total overhaul, and re-equipping it with an Elta Systems EL/M-2032 active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar and an open architecture avionics suite

this purchase is a threat to the Falklands.

UK will surely have to add more assets over there now.

I don't think Kfir has range to reach Falklands. It is a Mirage III. Look, penguins at Falklands 8-)

Man IAI should team up with a partner for a new airframe.

IAI Kfir is close to the same range as it previous fighter it used during the Falklands the Super Étendard, and this is with two 1,300 liter drop tanks.

I wouldn't expect any of Argentina planes to be doing bombing runs on the Falklands, but attacking maritime attacks with exocets or w/e anti ship missiles they got or get.

this is why argnetina really wanted to get a dozen or so Su-24 fighter-bombers for the increased range.

they defiantly do need some tanker aircraft
