Ok i got a little excited and power lifted too many Kg's ....now ma back is f#$%^&* up .....went to this big hospital in chennai(MIOT) there the head doc said they have to operate but his assistant doctor cautioned not to operate as i am really young and that particular procedure can make me infertile and advised my dad to run away from the hospital as soon as possible and we did .

I have heard a lot about the miracle "puttur kattu" even my family doctor got his fractured left hand cured after going to puttur .But i dont know how effective it would be for the back....did a little googling and found this :

"Pratap Raju says the leaves have the uncommon property of softening the bones as well as hardening them. In the process the joining of the fractured bones takes place. “The herbal leaf paste also gives relief for back pain, sciatica and spondilitis,” he says.

“Not only the medicinal property of the herbal paste, the deft handling—tracing the fractured spot by expert fingers, aligning the broken bones in order before applying the green paste mixed with albumin of the egg—does the magic,” Pratap Raju says. One or two ‘kattus’ (bandages) and a maximum of 45 days are enough for sure joining, he adds."

and this :

It was in 1881, Gopal Raju who accidentally found the healing property of the herbal foliage while hunting. He brought home a back-broken rabbit on a bed of some leaves he picked in the forest. To his surprise he found the animal limping. He made paste of the same and applied on its back. In a few days, the animal ran and disappeared in the forest. And to Gopal Raju one truth appeared: leaves had some medicinal quality!

Next few years, Gopal Raju experimented on limb-fractured chicken, calves and sheep. Convinced, he went on to treat human beings. He became a successful native doctor, and people from far and wide beelined to Puthur for bone-setting, and it came to be called “Puthur Kattu.” During the colonial rule, there was war everywhere, wounded soldiers were many. He was treating them to fitness. Gopal Raju’s services were utilized by the British rulers. That took him to places, treating the wounded soldiers and civilians throughout the country.

The World Wars came, he had more wounded armymen to treat. He had the unique honour of free railway pass to travel anywhere in the country. Gopal Raju passed on the legacy to his sister’s son, Suraparaju Subba Raju, who was a revenue official in the British government. He gave up his lucrative job to serve the humanity. The great Subba Raju applied his learned and administrative skills and laid the foundation for a mission that is the bone-setting hospital at Puthur, Pratap Raju said in one breadth.

I want to avoid going under the knife at all cost....healing of that rabits broken back sounds promising....so anyone here know of anyone with a bad back cured by puttur kattu? Thank you.

Yeah also very bad timing...my exam a few months away so a surgery will ruin ma studies....i know of a dads friend who was paralyzed due to some incident...after trying so many doctors to no effect they took him to this ayurvedic hospital in chennai.....the doctors after thoroughly examining him told the family that only one way to get him out....they were told they can get him walking like normal again but he will only live for 5 years only.....they told them to think it through....after a few days the family decided to give the green signal as he was laready half dead....they gave all the herb treatment and "cured" him like they said ....after that treatment my dad says he looked like as if nothing has happened to him lol.....the family never informed him that he has just 5 years to live....just like they predicted he died in his sleep exactly after 5 years .

If puttur(i am 90% sure it will work) doesnt work i will have go this hospital in chennai .

Never push your body to physical limits , consequences are dire.

Hope you get well soon.

I am one of those skeptical Westerner types. ;) Here's the thing - human skin is designed to be pretty much impermeable. With rare exception, you can smear all sorts of stuff on your skin, and it simply won't enter your body. Pain relief "rubs" like Tiger Balm do their work by irritating the skin, inflaming it, and your brain does two things - it's distracted from the real pain, and it also pumps out endorphins that help with pain relief. But the underlying problem remains.

Something as complex as a bone problem isn't going to be affected by stuff rubbed onto the skin.

Whatever you do, good luck. Hope you get better.

Get well soon bro. Young guys shouldnt get too excited and carry heavy weights in the gym anyway. You hurt your muscles or bones?

there are medicines out there unknown to modern science.....
homeopathy is not much appreciated by doctors....but my asthama was fully cured by homeopethic medicines.
we are too busy destroying flora and fauna and dont research their medicinal properties.

hi IFB , sorry to hear about that.
Also asking advice that too medical advice is a BIG mistake imo.

don't dilly-dally on physical matters .

hope you get well soon.

get well soon mate & don't worry so much hope this helps may Allah give you shifa & save you from the fearful things . amin

also this dua might help along with puttur kattu

For the cure of any illness

Ayesha (R.A.) stated that when anyone among them had an illness, Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) used to rub the area of the pain reciting the following dua:

أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءٌ لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمَاً

"O Lord of the people, remove this pain and cure it, You are the one who cures and there is no one besides You who can cure, grant such a cure that no illness remains".

"Ayesha (R.A.) stated that when Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) was ill, he used to recite the four Quls, blow on his hands and pass them over on the back and front. He also recited these surahs, blew on his hands and passed them over his body during his fatal illness".

you can say it in english

i invested into a home gym and a bench press . been doing weights for almost 17 yrs now . you need to be properly trained and never try to strain your self beyond a point . i myself have pulled my back muscles a lot of times . till i went to a good gym and the resident instructor showed me how and what i was doing wrong.
get well soon and my advice first get a little professional help as to how and what to lift and for how long . each ones body type is different . for instance i do a 15 min intense workout about 3 times a day , rather then at a stretch . it works for me .

Man you know this is science and how beautifully Our religion teach us such things .....
when you are feeling pain and you interrupt pain pathway by stimulating other areas by rubbing , you get relief ..the intensity of pain impulses reduced

Safriz, I am 100% on board with homeopathic or herbal medicines that you ingest. Valerian gives me a good night's sleep, but rubbing Valerian on the skin won't work. Also, my skepticism goes up when folk or herbals are claimed to do things like fix bones. I think they can and do work with other things, everything from muscle relaxants to depression.

But injury - there's very few medicines that can fix an injury. They can help with symptoms while your own body does the repair work. Keep inflammation down, stuff like that.
