THis is the only case in history where the ACCUSED are Demanding a Narco test

This is the ONLY case in history where the public are demanding an CBI enquiry (premier investigation agency) and the relatives of the victim are REFUSING investigation

Whatever the religion of the perpetrators or the victims, India seems to be heading a notch up other countries when it comes to disgusting acts of molestation and rape of women. In all fairness to Indians, I watched on the news last night that mass mobilisation is taking place throughout India in protest against these crimes. India should perhaps consider passing a Woman's rights Bill and creating specialised police units to investigate crimes against women and children. In addition, education of boys from a young age at school about the equal standing of women in society and the need to show respect to women is a must.

Girl Harassed While Returning From School – Meerut, UP

A girl student returning from school by cycle was sexually harassed by a group of Muslim youth who were bathing at a tubewell in Atora Road village near Meerut, UP, Hindi daily Amar Ujala has reported.

The youth who were part of a wedding party passed obscene comments at the girl and even chased her. When the girl reached home and informed her family, agitated villagers gathered and thrashed the accused youth. Police arrived at the scene and took 5 youth into custody.

Police officer Narendra Kumar said that the girl’s family has not lodged any written complaint and do not want any further action. The 5 youth have been let off with a warning.

A case has been lodged against 3 youth – Wakib, Javed and Amjad – for the gangrape of a 12-year-old girl in Kandhla police station area, Shamli district, West UP, Hindi daily Amar Ujala has reported.

The girl’s father told police that on Tuesday evening his daughter was playing outside their house when the 3 accused abducted her and gang raped her. They left the girl in a dazed condition and fled. Police station in-charge OP Chaudhary said that a case has been lodged based on the father’s report and police is looking out for the accused.

Shamli district in West UP, bordering Haryana, is notorious for such crimes. In 2016, Kairana town in this district had witnessed a mass exodus of around 250 Hindu families due to insecurity triggered by spree of attacks against women, daylight murders of traders and other targeted intimidation. On topic..If those laws are in place and such units do exists (apart from CBI), then clearly they are ineffective. I must agree with certain observations on the news last night that certain organisations are making the rape issues a political issue. However, the problem still exists. And going by your claim that the accuseds in the Kathua case are innocent, and assuming even that Muslims committed the crime, do you still disagree that outrageous forms of rape and molestation of women is on the rise in India?
