Hyphenating India-Pakistan or India-China?

The rise of the new media and the emergence of the "Internet Hindus", a term coined by Indian journalist Sagarika Ghose, has removed all doubts about many Indians' Pakistan obsession. She says the “Internet Hindus are like swarms of bees". "They come swarming after you" pouncing on any mention of Pakistan or Muslims.

Wondering whether I should start my own blog to open new threads on PDF ..... :coffee:

Thats a cool idea. Making fake articles from made up facts and figures and then posting that article in the forums as legit news.. Perfect model to get more views to the blog and as well as for spreading conspiracy theories and propaganda...

It's a rarely acknowledged fact in India that most Indians are far more obsessed with Pakistan than any other country.
Haq's Musings: India's Hyphenation Debate: India-Pakistan or India-China?

Uncle Haq's musings shows who is obsessed ...let's look at Kaka( uncle ) Haq's page one of LOL postings here...quite often, in fact every post he writes on India, he has been caught embarrassingly being a tabloid writer who fakes his data. Hell if an Indian or american did it on pakistan the mods here would ban them forever, calling them out. But we know how it works here...

In spite of recent poverty declines with its rapid economic expansion, India still has higher poverty rates than Pakistan, according to a 2011 World Bank report titled "Perspectives on poverty in India : stylized facts from survey data" released in 2011.

the latest World Bank data shows that India's poverty rate of 27.5%, based on India's current poverty line of $1.03 per person per day, is more than 10 percentage points higher than Pakistan's 17.2%. Assam (urban), Punjab and Himachal Pradesh are the only three Indian states with similar or lower poverty rates than Pakistan's.

Haq's Musings: World Bank on Poverty Across India in 2011

As China's share of the world's extreme poor (living below $1.25 per day per person level) has dramatically declined, India's share has significantly increased. India now contributes 33% (up from 22 % in 1981). While the extreme poor in Sub-Saharan Africa represented only 11 percent of the world’s total in 1981, they now account for 34% of the world’s extreme poor, and China comes next contributing 13 percent (down from 43 percent in 1981), according to the World Bank report titled State of the Poor.

Haq's Musings: India's Share of World's Poorest Jumped From 22% to 33% in 30 Years!

The World Bank, which defines poverty as survival on less than $1.25 per day, says India reduced poverty from 60% of the population to 42% between 1981 and 2005. The number in 2010 was 33%. 33% stands for about 400 million people. That’s a third of the world’s poor.

An estimated 29.8% of Indians live below the country’s national poverty line in 2010

very very true. we have seen this on PDF quiet often even when the thread is NOT about India. Even when the thread is about Bangladesh's progress these internet hindus swarm the thread with negative jealousy

latest news india poevrty under 25%. pakistan poverty hits 45%.

Percentages are interesting for instance, 25% for India means 250 million people, whereas 45 % in Pakistan means 81 million - both are shameful numbers.

It should be noted that the issue of hyphenation was raised in a TOI article, Mr. Haq is merely examining it.
