There are many cars available in the Indian market with better features that price also starts from 4-5 lakhs... It is really injustice with Pakistanis people because of their government negligence... They are paying the high cost for the basic features cars also..

Car is a basic need to a common family. The big families can not travel by two-wheelers or public transports.

Government should be the focus on such issues... Car is very useful for Middle-class people..
Salaam

Are these prices adjusted to exchange rate as well?

I mentioned -
Indian market - INR
Pakistani market - pkr

Investing in public transport will be much better in the long term, subsidising car ownership will only enrich the car manufacturers and importers.

.
More cars means more fuel imports which is bad for country. Government should increase car and petrol prices

Then Pakistan use airplanes and others? it uses lots of fuel.

Better Ask to travel by Bicycle. No fuel is required.

Excuses and nothing more...

Go look at the American cities, then tell me an excess of cars are a good thing for society.

cars are the worst form of transport in existence

.
furthermore, Pakistan local cars quality is also downgraded by companies, New companies like Kia and Hyundai have kept standards

Prices are high in Pakistan as compared to India because in Pakistan most of the cars are being assembled instead of manufacture at home, so the shipping and import cost is more

IMported JDM cars are much better

they all actually have their own car but for a short distance, they use the bicycle or something..

But if they need to go somewhere with the family then do go by own car i.e Hospital...

You are just giving excuses.. in midnight, take an example if you need to go to the hospital then what will you do?

Car is a basic need for a family.. Poor families might can not but the middle class should be able to afford it... how and when need to use the car is another debate.
Yes for short commutes bikes should be encouraged, much better for one’s health and the local environment.

You Mean, father, mother and sister or husband and wife with the two kids ..... all should travel by one bike? Also, it is very safe?

The exchange rate is 1 INR = 2.28 PKR

That makes the difference much less. I don't know why you used different currencies. How would the situation look with Pakistani cars in USD and Indian cars in Zimbabwean dollars?

Though I do think the auto industry in India is much more consumer friendly than Pakistan. I just think the way it is presented makes it seem disingenuous.

I don’t see a point talking to you kid, please go and read about why the world is going against car ownership and how it destroyed cities the world over and then come talk to me.

You call for an ambulance?

It’s not a car is a luxury, but accessible public transport is a necessity

They have a larger market to serve, their middle class 600 million strong while our entire population is only 220 million.
You are not making any sense.. I will not reply further,
Ironic

My point is the same-- Why not focus on manufacturing instead of assembling?

Then, the dollar rate will have very little impact..
