What's new

Huawei, ZTE under EU scanner

Its not like their genuine products are any better !

And Sony, Apple, HP, Dell never ever had this problem?

I just got my second replacement of my iPhone within one week. The first one went all well for almost one year, then started to blackout every second day and the screen flickered like crazy. Apple replaced it without much ado. Five days later the new phone just couldn't recognise my SIM card and I got my second replacement. Now all is cool. :)

Most of them(if not all) are manufactured in CN with firms like Foxconn doing the bulk of it, so remind me what were you trying to prove ?

How do you explain that companies like BMW and Toyota had to recall their cars although they were built in Germany and Japan? Oh; that's an individual fault of the company and nothing to do with the country, right?

Also, there are tens of millions of computers made in China and a few hundred thousands are defect that alone is enough to tarnish the whole country, right?

Sure, there are no recalls coming from Indian companies, because you guys have nothing worth mentionning in consumer products. Lucky India!

I don't recall branding "made in China" as cr@p stuff just that their local firms aren't any better or worse than say IND companies that's all.

You just did by saying "Most of them (if not all) are manufactured in CN". Don't Try to backpedal!

Tell me one Indian electronic consumer brand that is sold EU wide.

I also added the name of the firm that manufactures them besides as I said most of the local IND firms aren't any better btw I don't have much info on EU so maybe you can help me out by doing a quick Google search(if you want) on your local sites.

K, as a matter of fact, I don't know one electronic consumer brand in the EU market. The only Indian consumer brand I know and love is Tilda basmati rice, but I think it's a British brand started by Indian immigrants.

Give me some big names and I will try to google them for the EU.

Videocon, Bajaj, Godrej, Voltas, Onida are some of the better local IND brands.

Thanks, I'm going to search in the EU core markets Germany, France, UK.

Videocon seems to be available in the UK but the website is under maintenance. Couldn't find anything in Germany and France.

Bajaj is not available in all three countries but there are some people in Germany and the UK who import them directly from India as an exotic vehicle.

Godrej is only known for the Keshkala oil in an online shop in Germany. Couldn't find anything in the UK and France.

Voltas is only active in the UK but only B2B activity.

Onida is in not present in all three markets.
