How to deal with the Afghanistan situation?

Should Afghanistan be nuked due to being unsalvageable?

  • Yes, nuke it and end the madness.

  • No, we have other valid options. (Suggest below)

Vote above, I just want to see what the common sentiment is and if people would agree. (Obviously the actual possibility of it happening is close to zero)

Any other suggestions on how to handle the Afghanistan situation below.

Afghanistan is the greatest asset Pakistan ever had...

Any malice towards them is out of question.

We just need to learn to yield them..

Pakistan used the afghans to collapse Soviet union, defeat chase NATO from the mountains...

Once upon a day if the gangu attempts to cross the LOC give him the same medicine what chased Soviet union and NATO the gangu won't survive and chased eventually inside the deccans himself.. Grave miscalculation

They were only used in those scenarios because it directly involved their country. That doesn't apply towards India, so no they will not fight against India.

Loy-Afghanistan is entrenched into their brain cells since birth so naturally they are not reliable or trustable in any capacity.

The Tajiks and other ethnicities need to be given greater power to country the loy-afghanists.

Nuke them ideally but realistically, close the border and limit ties. Retaliate 10x to any rodents poking us

Bring those sitting in GHQ under law and order and punish them, and the situation in Afghanistan will become good within days. The real trouble makers are actually the Army Generals.

do people come up with these suggestions b/c they are trolling or are they actually this dumb?

Lets just entertain this comedy, what do these people think will happen if a nuclear strike is launched in Afghanistan? a massive refugee flow, more revenge terrorism attacks, isolation of Pakistan internationally.

If LOC is crossed and Pakistan fails to adresse it they will respond because they know if that area was overrun they are next it is mutual interest hence they will dispatch and attempt to stop the enemy right there in gilgat.. Because the border is thin if you cross Pakistan from the other side it is not far from afghanistan hence Pakistan falls into their automatic red-line. If Pakistan was rolled into it will cause concern for them..

If they were to wait for the enemy to consilidate themselves in pakistan it would be the worst thing that could happen to them but the best option would be them entering immediately to attempt to stop the foe right there and then which will be there natural approach

Close the border, and constantly watch the area within 10km of the Duran line within their border via drones.
Any incoming talib should be shelled the Sh*t out of by our artillery and mortar platforms.

The border should be manned, but with the same amount of soldiers as the current moment. we just need the surveillance to be able to move our troops to the locations where they are needed, rather than aimlessly standing at the border, completely unaware of whether a whole army is marching towards you

You clearly haven't been around Afghans. Our generals are vile but Afghans are probably some of the worst people on earth minus a few exceptions. You really trust the Talibs or other ghouls?

This is the correct idea

Furthermore, the ISI should be spread amongst the afghan people who reside close to the border. They should be plain clothes operatives, and would be excellent at forecasting TTP attacks, as these border villages are always used as terror launchpads.

The ISI has one of the highest numbers of operatives in the world. About time we put them to good use.

Fortify the border, re-enforce it with attack helicopters and drones where most likely of incidents and identify and find ways to sanctions those responsible functional leadership (and their supporters) behind the local gunmen, to include aiding their rivals with preferential access to trade business and other perks to shape the dynamics inside Afghanistan. Money talks.

Also, turn the border into a double wall, with a 500 meter to 1 km buffer zone in between to detect and better restrict unregulated movement and smuggling. This will also help prevent resupply by the TTP.

Passive defenses are the key, shape the landscape such that movement of people and goods has to come through official crossings. Intelligence will be key to detecting those already inside Pakistan supporting the miscreants at the hordes as well as the TTP. Avoid alienating regular afghans that are just trying to earn a living and support their families in Afghanistan, we need to isolate the worst of the worst from the majority of the population. No neighboring nations of Afghanistan is willing to put up with their behavior, so it’s a matter of time before they have to come to terms with Pakistan.

On second thoughts, closing the border entirely could cause a lot of issues. It would also increase smuggling massively, as well as a lot more of our soldiers being bribed to smuggle.
There should be border crossings, but they should be manned heavily, as well as having a buffer zone before and after it. In total, there should be two or three layers of buffer zones, through which there are outposts in each layer, each manned heavily and with plain clothes operatives. Furthermore, the drones and surveillance tech should make sure that not a single inch of this area is away from our gaze

Are you sure your country can run it's own affairs, your country is having it's political and millitary leadership undermined through secret sabotage from overseas.
Worry about internal collapse before thinking about nuking others. Also nuking won't really help you out as you have too many Islamists in your country and they will start mass unrest if you ever try that. However its a nice power trip I guess since that is all that Pakistan can gloat about at the moment considering your collapsing economic and political situation. Dont't forget that Pakistan and greater Hind always gets invaded from Khorasan throughout history and it can always happen again in sha Allah.
