What's new

How do you stay fit?

I go through an exercise boot camp with former UK military trainers in the open, every alternate morning. In Dubai's weather which remains most of the year around 45-50 C (115-130F), thats one grueling workout. I've a few dehydrated pass outs on my record now.

I've incorporated some weight training into my daily routine. I'd soon be joining a mixed martial arts class to take it to the next level.

heh if you don't mind me saying this is pretty unnecessary. Exercise should be fun, you don't have to be hardcore about it and sun stroke doesn't build muscles :P

By at least a thousand mouse clicks a day. Occasional use of keyboard keys too. Exercise of jaw by eating and drinking.

yes they are played in pak
one is called pithu-garam and the other one's name i cant recall. played them both as a youngster!:enjoy:

Yup pithu-garam in Punjabi, Bandar Kila is best IMO

I'm fat but fit, Beefy/Husky/Chubby guy. Fat is proportionate all over body, So I dont look weird (no Gut/Belly or manboobs ), Pehalwan or Hatta-Katta in desi words (6 feet tall). Tried to lose weight, but gave up, not worthy  Also people having big GOGGAR (Belly/Gut) get more respect in Punjab. Also good fats (Omega 3s etc are very good for body, Walnuts/Akhrot are my fav)

Only exercise I love is Squatting and deadlifts, its intense + meant for STRONG guys not those gym going show off body type, they can't lift heavy weight due to weak middle section of body. Love PowerLifting. Hate cardio, every power lifter hates cardio (it will burn fat around waist resulting in weak mid section), too girly.

Our British Indian pehalwans were very strong thanks to Squats.

Of course, but running on sand is 10x more harder than running on a treadmill. We do it in the mornings before heading out to work, so its only hot, but not much sunlight.

It's great for building up stamina, and there's nothing like interval like circuit training to regiment your workout.

Plus it is a great fun environment. We're in our little make believe military boot camp, with PVC pipes filled with sand acting as our rifles and we're running in file and rank formations. We get collective group punishments in the form of pushups, squats or burpees whenever we screw up something :D. The trainers ride us hard. There's a lot of military style Huaahs!

You can say it builds up mental fitness alongside your physical fitness.

I hate cardio too but I'm still forcing myself to do it because cardio is better for health than just powerlifting.

Ahhh ok I totally get it now. It helps you with motivation and a little make-belief is fun too.

I thought you were destroying yourself with bootcamp style hazing.

asim bhai- im a docter and ive read tons of fat burning ebook / body building ebooks have set a good routine for myself-- multijoint excercises are 8 excercises which involve most muscles yet performed quickly--- isolation excercises [like bicep curls] exert least overall body workout.

also never take workout above 60 minutes, then stress harmones kick in which conserve / produce fat at the expence of muscle.

multijoint / compound excercises = high workout in lesser time = greater fat burning = if weights high and reps low, also muscle building.[never take a rep above 20 seconds as lactic acid and anerobic glycolysis starts]

my gym has a lot of lcds , to pass high intensity interval cardio--cycling is far better on the joints than jogging -in the long run.

ill post my folder here -- hope the ebooks help-- ive a lot more but the upload link is breaking..
******* - My ******* - shared folder - free file sharing and storage

hope the ebooks help , ive gathered them from different free sharing sources over the internet
